Reminder to all residents that the first budget workshop meeting of the year will be held tonight, Monday, February 7th at 7:00 PM in town hall. This meeting is open to the public and they are encouraged to attend.

St Amour posted some key points from the budget workshop meeting last night on his website,Mullica Tax Force. Keep up the good work Mike. Keeping the public informed should be a top priority for any administration.
The committee's proposed cuts were nothing more than window trimming.
The first thing that Mr. Brown focused on was cutting the hours and wages of the non-union employees, those with the least protection and the least benefits. While our governor takes on the unions, our committee goes after the small, easy targets first. Brown makes a great case for unions and unionization of the entire American workforce, both public and private, so that everyone has a decent, living wage and some job protection. He argued as much when suggesting that the committee could give up their stipends because everyone on the dias was already getting some sort of a union pension and that they could easily do without the extra cash.
When Brown ran for office, he spoke about wanting to bring in a 0percent increase in taxes this year and the expectation was that there would be drastic cuts to the budget. He has turned out to be a paper tiger, all talk and nothing to show for it. Just another politician making promises to the voters that he couldn't keep. Watch for the excuse, "Well, the other guys would have had an even bigger tax increase than mine".
I see that on Facebook Janet Forman is already tryig to put her spin on the expected tax increase, saying that it won't be as bad as it could have been, all thanks to Jim Brown.
DOES THIS MEAN THAT jANET fORMAN GETS THE INSIDE SCOOP 1ST BEFORE THE REST OF THE TOWN..?????BROWN SAYS HER & CHASEY ARE NOT RUNNING THE TOWN !! LOOKS LIKE HE IS A LAIR!!!
