Justice Department cites Christie for luxury expenses on taxpayer dime

Gov. Chris Christie gets high marks on his straight talk about the State's finances, but apparently he's less than forthcoming when taxpayer dollars are benefiting him. In a recent Justice Department report, Christie was one of only 5 US attorney's cited for charging luxury expenses to the taxpayers. This is cited in several articles, including today's Press of Atlantic City (which includes a full report). Was this just the first instances of Christie slopping at the public trough?

Gadfly is sure that those blind Republicans who step into the voting booth and simply push buttons down the party line will be quick to dismiss Christie's poor judgment.

This is yet another case of the Republicans saying do as I say and not as I do.
Revealingly, The Republican Press hid the story on a back page of the Region section, while the Star-Ledger ran it as a front page story.
