Tea Party Candidates

While all of us can argue Republican views versus Democratic views and perspectives, lets hope that we can all agree that while there may be genuine dissatisfaction with both political parties, the lunatic fringe Tea Party candidates must not be elected into office.

The likes of Christine O'Donnell (DE, Senate Republican nominee), who dabbled in witchcraft, has not had a job for the past 5 years, uses campaign donations to pay all of her living expenses and believes that a woman should be forced by the government to give birth to a baby as a result of rape or incest is just not acceptable for a leadership position in our country. Unfortunately, O'Donnell is not alone in her belief that victims of rape and incest should be made to give birth. Other Tea Party (Republican) candidates agree. The likes of Joe Miller (Alaska), Palandino (NY), Rand Paul (KY) and Sharon Angle (NV) all agree that the government should make a woman give birth to a baby who has been victimized by rape or incest.

These are not the only radical ideas shared by these tea partiers who want to "take back our country". Rand Paul has gone on record as stating that he would NOT have voted for the Civil Rights legislation. Sharon Angle has said that unemployed people are lazy and that they should take menial jobs. Angle has also said that if tea party candidates don't win elections, the people should consider using their 2nd amendment rights to seek resolution. Angle and others also want to do away with those nasty social programs, you know, the ones called Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The ones our seniors count on so much!!!! It's ironic how these tea party candidates have a disdain for government and want government out of our lives, yet would propose and support legislation that would require the government to ensure that victims of rape and incest give birth.

While many of you may be frustrated, please realize what it is that you would be supporting by sending any money or support to any of these radical tea party candidates!

Rand Paul NEVER said he would have voted against the CRA. His opponent LIED when he said that and Chris Matthews on MSNBC had to issue a correction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhbEkVVUU6Q

Rand Paul has also categorically said he does NOT want to end medicare or social security but fix them and cut other spending so we can pay for them even when interest rates on our debt go up and otherwise (without spending cuts) would make interest payments essentially the entire budget. Do you understand that our entire national debt is essentially an adjustible rate mortgage? And interest rates NOW are low but won't necessarily be when we refinance the current short term lonas?

I would suggest that the 2:35PM poster check out Rand Paul on the Rachel Maddow show via youtube. Dont take my word for it, see for yourself what he says. Its all on tape....and more than just the radical things I mentioned. These radical tea party candidates are trying to do a makeover of their actual views so that they may be electable. Dont be fooled. The tea party candidates are radicals!

Just saw the Rachel Maddow interview. Rand Paul believes that private business owners should be allowed to discriminate against anyone they want. Paul suggests that this would be a bad business practice, but should be up to the private business owners to decide, not the federal government. Paul said he believes in 9/10ths of the CRA. The 1/10th he doesnt believe in, I mentioned above. Rand Paul and the other tea party candidates want to "take our country back" alright....back to the Stone Age!!!!!

Mullica Man,it's good to see that you are back! I agree with your assessment of the Tea Party. I'm not happy with any national party or the people who are front runners. I feel that the corporations and the bankers have taken over the country. I'm pessimistic about the future of this country. The "powers that be" love the divisions between the people and no matter what national party is in office, the power brokers will get what they want and the people of our land will be robbed and lose our rights one by one.

Brown and Wiffle describe themselves as conservative Republicans. Is that their way of saying that they're Teabag supporters? They speak about "outside forces that are trying to change our landscape". It seems to me that their political supporters were responsible for trying to and continue to try to change Mullica's landscape for the worse, such as bringing in the dump and wanting sewers that apartments attract, to sell off our forested areas for development and to want to repeatedly trample on our First Amendment rights of free speech and to assemble. That's why they were kicked out. So, what exactly are the "ouside forces" that they now refer to? Do they mean the progessive "new" Mullicans who now live here and are in the majority, who want to protect our community for all of us and for our children and who want to live in harmony and good will with one another, without racial animosity or letting personal religious beliefs influence our government?

Xena, Warrior Princess, how come we dont run this country? It is extremely ironic that the very people calling Obama a radical are themselves radicals. These tea partiers who want to take back our country are the very ones who would be responsible for losing our freedom and liberty - if elected. Freedoms like a womans choice over her own body, like freedom of religion (think Mosque in NYC), civil rights and financial security for our seniors. Throw in the racist and homophobic elements of the tea party and you have some scary elections coming this November. Lets hope that the voters of the various states wake up and realize what is at stake.

re9:06am
Brown and Riffle are being handfed a bunch of crap by Cathy Chasey. Did she bother to tell them about all the Twp. property she "gave" away. Did she confide in them that she knew the rail transfer station was coming about a year before the rest of us and she forgot to inform the public? Did she remember to tell them that she wanted the public to remove all the "No Dump"signs?
Did she tell them about all the tax payer money, around $20,000,she spent to help Wazsen out?
Did she tell them that she refunded open space money because she didn't feel we needed it?
Did she mention that she was perfectly "comfortable"with all the trash that the county left cut up on our roadways?
Did she tell them of all the pollution of our soil and ground water that took place on her watch?
Did she tell them that our taxes are high because of all the years of her giving out overly generous contracts?
Did she tell them that she tried to block our right of free speech and even the Press went against her?
Did she tell them of all the money we lost by not bidding out contracts?
I can go on & on about the things in the written history of this town. The point is that Cathy Chasey picked these two candidates who seemed to have crawled out of the woodwork.
They didn't have any ideas of their own to run on, so they have stolen the environmental and fiscal responsibility causes that the Democratic incumbents have been fighting for all along with the opposition of Chasey.

I hear the Riffle has not even come to a Twp. meeting yet. He's a nasty, arrogant guy who was a poor choice even for Chasey.
Are they Tea party members? They call themselves conservative "Piney's who care"with all the window dressing of the American flag, the Constitution quoting and the 2nd Amendment evoking, thinking that that makes them good Americans. They do look radical,in my opinion.

You're right,5:32pm. It's going to be a long, long time before any Repub. candidate will be able to run in this town without being covered by the large shadow of Chasey.

We finally have a little peace in this town and this committee is working hard for the people and saving us tons of money and they're far from being radical flag wavers.

Chuck Freeland said...

Are you kidding me!!!! This township committee( except for Mr. Graebener) doesn't even listen to the voter's!!! Our mayor as a leader finds that 62% of the vote doesn't count as a landslide against an issue. He finds it to be a compromise!!!! Yeah, we got a great committee!!!! Now we have some crackpot who's afraid to put his name on what he writes; He signs it as the "Mullica Man". At least these candidates stand up for who they are and don't hide behind some goofy title!!!! He's a real super hero!!!! HaHahahah!!!

Charles Land of the Free said...

I agree with Chuck Freeland - if that is really his name. It is sad what the media is trying to do to Christine ODonnell. Its like a witch hunt!

Anonymous said...

Mr. Freeland - do you believe that a woman should be required to give birth to a child as a result of rape and/or incest?

Anonymous said...

Mr. FreeProperty,

Do you believe in witchcraft?
Do you believe we should do away with social security, medicare and medicaid?
As a fiscal conservative, would you vote for ODonnell knowing that she hasnt had a steady job in the past 5 years, pays her living expenses with campaign contributions, had her house foreclosed, didnt pay her taxes and never paid her school loans?

Anonymous said...

Mr. FreeDirt,

Are you against the civil rights act as Rand Paul is? Do you believe that business owners should have the right to not serve people based on their skin color, sexual orientation or religious beliefs as Rand Paul does?

Anonymous said...

MR. FREEEARTH,

I think I have you pegged. I think you are against:
Gays, Lesbians, Muslims, Blacks, Hispanics, Childrens healthcare, religious tolerance, a womans right to make decisions about her own body and civil rights to name a few.

I think you are for: tax cuts for the rich, tea party radicals, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, big business, George Bush and witchcraft. Do you have any idea what all of these things you are for have in common? They are all against your own best interests!

Mr. Freeland,

It is I, Mullica Man. It is very disturbing to this superhero that you disparage me this way. While I am out patrolling the skies over Mullica, ensuring that the community is safe and sound, you sir are spouting off about issues that are clearly outside the realm of your comprehension. Please back away from the keyboard...nice and slow and nobody will be injured any further by your ignorant and off base comments about our fine Mayor and outstanding Town Council (minus your father Bill). You see sir, there is this thing called compromise. Our schools have been drastically underfunded. Progams have been cut and class sizes have increased. What exactly would have made you happy - seeing the children and teachers on the street? Do you want to see our school close? God forbid, I would hate to think that you would home school your children! Do you want even larger class sizes? How come you have not voiced your dismay with our Governor over his administrations inability to acquire $400 million dollars for our schools? Are you that blatantly partisan? What is it sir that you stand for? This superhero awaits with bated breath to hear your response. It should be interesting, if Mrs. Freeland lets you use the computer again.

Mr. Freeland,
What exactly DO your candidates stand for?

Do you REALLY know who they are?

Anonymous said...

Did you notice in today's paper the outrageous salary increases that the school board is awarding the teachers, while they cut funding elsewhere in the school?Where's the prioritizing?

reading ability seems lacking in 9:28's comment

So, a teacher making 40K per year gets a 3 year contract with 4% increases each year...that means that they will make about 41,600 in year one.....43,200 in year two and 45,000 in year three. Yeah, those teachers are getting rich!!!! I know, if teachers make so much money and its such easy work, how come you dont do it?

Mullica Man,I was very worried about you when I saw on the news on Sept.15,that a man was seen falling from the sky with his arms and legs flailing about.

The Egg Harbor Twp. police are still seeking information.

I'm glad to see that you're alright and back on patrol.

Mullica Man said...

Xena, Warrior Princess, Mullica Man cannot tell a lie. It is true that I was involved in that incident over the skies of Egg Harbor Township. However, it was not I falling from the sky, but an evil doer who I caught in the act in Mullica. I dispose of all evil doers in the woods of Egg Harbor Township. This particular evil doer was delivered via air mail. Up, Up and Away!!!!!!!!

To the 1:55 poster:

That is the misconception that people have -
When an administrator gets a 3.9% raise, it is 3.9% of their individual salary (ie - 2010-2011 salary is $92,000, gets a 3.9% raise making their salary $95,588 for 2011-2015)
If a teacher gets a 3.9% raise, it is 3.9% of the total cost of all teacher salaries for the district. That total is then spread along the salary guide with each teacher getting part of it, but NOT 3.9% of their salary.

The same sharing of the total goes for support staff also.

Anonymous said...

To the 4:40PM poster....thank you for this insight. Its even worse than I thought.

Anonymous said...

4;40 PM POST. Yes, and those with more longevity would get more than 3.9% and those with less would get less than 3.9%. Its designed to bring up the final salary of the teachers who will be retiring soon so they can qualify for a bigger pension, paid for by you and me.

Anonymous said...

Again, a misconception - if you have ever seen and analyized a salary guide, the top doesn't get the biggest rasies. The biggest rasies are usually in the higher part of the middle of the guide, but not the top step. Some districts have an additional "longevity" payment, but Mullica doesn't.

Mullica Man, I just want to say "Bravo" for your reply to "Mr. Freeland" @ 9:44 You never compromised your integrity. Even better comment to Xena ("Up Up and Away")
