The Press of Atlantic City, Hometown Section, has a story regarding the new bicycle patrol Chief Paul Register created last month and it's received very positive reviews from local residents. Galloway Police Department donated two bikes, Chief Register donated a bike, Egg Harbor City loaned a bike to the township and two township residents, Brent Lilliston, owner of Lilliston Ford and Gary Schlue, owner of Gary's Used Cars donated money towards the program. I like this idea! I know our fire dept. does fund raisers but I've never seen the police do one. Would it be possible to have a police coin drop on the Pike for special projects or extra equipment? It's about time we have the community come together and really support our guys.
