There is a school board meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday, Sept. 21st, at 7pm. This is the first meeting of the new school year, and starts a big week. There will be an elementary school open house on Wednesday starting at 7pm, and a middle school open house on Thursday at 7pm. This is also the traditional week of the first book fair to raise money for the PTA, and the time when parents and teachers can sign up for the PTA for the current year (dues has been $5 per year in the past). With money hard to find for field trips, the PTA was a big help in 2009-2010 and the kids will need the help from the PTA again in 2010-2011 if they are going to go on field trips this year. When I was in school, we looked forward to that one field trip each year. There is also a new administration at the school. The school board meetings are open to all of the public...you don't have to have kids at school to go. Public education represents more than half of your property taxes. You should take one night to learn about how those dollars are used and what the school, its administration, its board and its staff are all about.

No agenda listed on the website, nothing new there. Also, was told by both my kids, primary and middle school that Back to School nite is postponed? Does anyone know anything about this?
Seems like adminstration should let the parents know what is happening.
Parents were notified - Back To School Night is now October 6th for Primary and Oct. 7th for Middle
