Did anybody even read this agenda? It says that Chief Barbera is resigning. Am I the only one surprised by this news?

I'm sure all his "insiders" know. What I am more surprised at is the Director of Fire Department Affairs is finally being named. No more "chief of chiefs".

Looks like the Republican Club came out in force tonight. All the same old faces, and I mean old.

Oh, Heckle and Jeckle were there too.

I was at the meeting. Someone asked if the rumor about getting rid of one of the fire stations was true. The Committee looked surprised by this question. I don't remember the exact answer but all of our fire stations and volunteers are needed and all are staying.

I just thought I'd write in and let people know that it's just a lie being spread around. It might be a good idea for everyone who hears any rumors to go to the meetings or directly confront the Committee with your concerns.

I have a feeling a lot of disinformation is being put out to the public by very vicious people.

It was refreshing to hear Chief Tomasco tell everyone that all the fire chiefs agreed on the new position. He said it will relieve the chiefs of a lot of pressure and paperwork.

I think this position of liaison between all four companies and the Committee will have a positive effect on everyone.
