Greater Egg Harbor Regional Budget Meeting-tonite 7:00 PM
The Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District is having its second budget meeting tonight, 7:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose room at Oakcrest High School.
One would hope that Mullica Township Board of Ed members attend this meeting, as well as residents. If this $69.3 million budget goes through, it would require tax-rate increases of 2.5 cents in Egg Harbor City, 5.3 cents in Galloway Township, 7.5 cents in Hamilton Township and 8.2 cents in Mullica Township.
I would also encourage people to call Bill Cheatham @ 965-1084, whom we elected onto the Greater Egg Harbor Regional School Board as OUR (Mullica's) representative on the GEHR School Board, to find out what he's doing to represent Mullica Township!
Thank you for posting this.

Billy Cheatem is on the board to represent the trade unions that do business with the school, not the taxpayers of Mullica. To phone him would be a waste of one's breath. Why the voters keep putting him back in office is beyond me.
If your property is valued at $200,000, not an unreasonable amount in Mullica, you can easily expect a $300 increase to your tax bill if you consider the local school increases, county increases and municipal increases, on top of the regional school increases that are projected this year. This increase will never go away. You will continue to have to pay it year after year, no matter what, whether you are employed or not, or what your household income is.
