Butterhof's Shady Brook Farm is having their second annual "Punkin Chunkin",a Pumpkin hurling contest with catapulting machines, tomorrow, Saturday 10/03, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Butterhof's Shady Brook Farm, 5800 White Horse Pike. I am driving over 125 miles with my Grandson to see this punkin chunkin contest - it should be fun.
It's comments like this that make me realize that the Gadfly's reach is much farther than little,old Mullica.
The whole world has access to read what goes on in this Pineland town of N.J.

You better believe GADFLY reaches FAR OUT there. We transplants read GADFLY to see what is going on in our beloved community that we grew up in, which seems to have been another time from what it is now. Life was simple when we were children, everyone had gardens and canned goods in the cellar. There was no police dept., no politics and neighbors were there for each other. It saddens us to see the back biting and laundering of the dirty laundry on a site that reaches around the world.
It feels good to read about punkin chunkin, Firehouse events and gives one the opportunity to attend good events like the HAUNTED HOUSE HAYRIDE at the NESCO firehouse. THANKS to whoever takes the time to keep GADFLY going.

I enjoy the Gadfly as much as you do but I think there is a big difference between "laundering the dirty laundry" and exposing political corruptness.
The Mullica you knew as a child has been slowly dissolving under the political leadership of the last 15 years.
How lucky you were to live here before personal power trips,money and political connections took precedence over the public's well being.
Hopefully, with this coming election we will have the chance to reverse this trend and bring back the Mullica you used to know.
