DOT to resurface sections of Route 30
Route 30 will get a facelift in parts of Hammonton and Mullica Township, as the state Department of Transportation uses $2 million in federal stimulus funds to repair the road, state officials said Friday.
The work is scheduled to begin Tuesday and is expected to be completed in December.
The White Horse Pike will be resurfaced in both directions from milepost 32 to milepost 36.2, state officials said.
From Tuesday through Sept. 15, one lane may be closed Mondays through Thursdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., officials said. No work will be done on weekend.
"NJDOT will resurface the roadway in a manner that will minimize disruptions to shore traffic," Transportation Commissioner Stephen Dilts said in a released statement.
From Sept. 15 on, single lanes on Route 30 may be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays, officials said. At least one lane of traffic will be open in each direction.
