IT'S OFFICIAL-KENNEDY JUMPS PARTIES

In what only could be described as a move anticipated given his voting record with the Republicans, his appointment of Republican Janet Forman as mayor and his whining to the Press of Atlantic City in a February article "I'm still a Democrat. Apparently I'm a bad one, but I'm still a Democrat,"...Bill Kennedy, officially, as of April 9, 2009, has jumped parties, from Democrat to Republican. After perhaps leaving himself in a position of having to owe both Chasey and Forman. Sadly, as has been mentioned here before, he used the voters of Elwood (and from the other wards)to get himself in office as a Democrat only to thumb his nose at them. For the Democrat's take on this, the post on "Keep Mullica Green" says it all.

Kennedy has no morals or integrity. He is dishonest and lies. He never was a true Democrat at heart and the Republicans can gladly have him. He fits in perfectly with the KFC or FCK triad, whichever way you want to label it. Good riddance!

If Kennedy was "the most powerful man in Mullica" according to the Chief of Police, then the power behind the throne was the Police Chief himself.

And to think of all those committee meetings that I attended to show support for Kennedy during his first two lonely years in office, when Chasey had him sitting in the corner like a fool. What a fool I was.

Its true that Kennedy never turned down spending the taxpayers' money when comes to the police, most recently advocating the hiring of a 15th permanent, full-time police officer, with Forman's and Chasey's support.

This is the best news I've heard in a long time!
What a relief for the Democrats.
It's like getting a shot of novocaine after being up all night with a bad toothache.

The Republicans must have better food at their meetings.

Thank you Keep Mullica Green for telling us the truth about Bill. I am not sure that this is about Democrat and Republican. It really is about honestly, ethics and who one is working for. It became obvious that once Bill tasted power, he sold out. It wasn't about the community any more if it ever was. The sad truth is Bill seems to be too dumb to know that he has been played the fool by Cathy and Janet. I have to wonder what Bill gets out of Cathy, Janet and the Police chief? Whatever is is or was, he sold his soul for it.

Kennedy is only in this to help his "buddies" and to satisfy his own highly inflated ego. Nothing more.

I'm glad that he made it official.
He spent his first two years as the only Democrat and now he can spend his last two years as the only Republican. I'm sure it will be less stress for him after this year.

Kennedy must have been so proud of himself the moment he approached Forman and Chasey with his good news. I wonder if they recoiled in horror.

This is really strange. At his first meeting as a Republican,he was actually speaking up against Forman and Chasey about the dump issue. On the video he appeared genuinely concerned about freedom of speech rights at the dump. I know he gave in to them at the last moment but it was nice to see him think about the issue.

If you recall, Chasey all but openly supported Kennedy for re-election by not campaigning for Maultz, knowing that she would have a patsy if he got back in.

At least all the newspaper articles for the rest of the year will now say the Republican controlled committee voted this or that in. This is the best thing he could ever do for the Democrats.
Thank you, Mr Kennedy, for coming out of the closet.

Don't celebrate yet. If he resigns his seat before his term expires you might want to think in your worst political nightmare who'd be recommended to fill it by the Republican Club.

Re6:22 pm
Are you suggesting that the change of parties is a political plot by the Republican Club?
I was wondering who convinced him to switch.
I see the strategy here and the mind behind it.
One can only wonder if Kennedy is in on the plot or they made a fool of him again.

If Kennedy was to resign, the Rebubs would have to nominate three candidates. They wouldn't have a majority anyway you slice it and the Dems would pick the best of the three evils. In other words, there would be no benefit for them to try to persuade Kennedy to resign. After all, they already have their chump.
