I guess that the Republicans were hard up to find someone who was willing to run with Chasey.
Crowe is the epitome of what is the wrong reason for running for committee, to help out one's buddies. When he was last in office, word on the street was that some of the municipal employees were calling him "Gary's boy", in reference to his close relationship with local businessman Gary Schlue. I suppose that this is what the Republicans euphemistically call being "pro-business" in Mullica.
Does this mean that they didnt send petitions to Mullica Town Hall? Are they ashamed and didnt think anyone would find out. While Mullica Green announces their candidates on their websites these guys hide.
While Mullica Green offers openess and team with integrity we can only predict the other side will both have cellphones and a lot of dinners at our expense. No contest here.
Does that mean that Janet Forman is a lame duck now?
Does Crowe still work for his good friend waszen. Soon to be new home to Mullica estates a townhome commuity.
Didn't Crowe support the dump four years ago, when he lost to Kenndey?
RE: 5:01 PM-No, not a lame duck, just LAME.
Why in the world would the Republicans put up two people with so much bad history? This just doesn't make sense to me.
Can anyone tell me if the Republicans have a site similar to the Keep Mullica Green site - where we can learn about them? And maybe argue with them.
Re 6:52 pm
Both Chasey and Crowe sold out our community with their constant deceptions about the Rail Transfer station.
At an Atlantic Cape Central Labor Council meeting in 2005, Crowe assured the teamsters that he was in FAVOR of the Garbage Rail Transfer Station BUT because of local politics he had to appear against it.
A vote for Chasey and Crowe is a vote for the SAME thing in the future.

We all lived the truth and saw their lies.
The Republicans did not pick Chasey and Crowe to run. It was the Republican Club that did, which has lost many of its members since Mayor Hagaman retired, leaving only a small group of self-serving people calling the shots for the party.
RE 12:27am
Trying to "argue with them" would be a waste of your time. There is no debating of issues with Chasey.
At the last meeting in Dec.2007, a whole room full of people tried to reason & plead with Chasey about a table of issues she was passing before the Dems. came into office.
She sat there,cherry-cheeked,smiling,non-responsive and just passed everything anyway.
That's just one small example of her dismissive attitude towards the public.
Is anybody taking bets on who Kennedy will be supporting?
It must be uncomfortable sitting on top of the fence checking which way the wind is blowing.
Chasey and Crowe will be pandering to the uninformed people & depending on the apathic ones not to vote.
There is only a small inner circle of support for this ticket.
Our main job is to spread the truth to the people and let them know how important it is that they vote in this election.
I don't believe that the majority of Mullicans are that naive, lazy or corrupt to allow these people back into office with their past records.
To the 802 am poster.
You are absolutely correct and Mr Hagaman and about 5 others formed their own Republican ticket way back in the Fred Drawdy race. Maybe a new group needs to do it all over again.
A plethora of negative news dominates every aspect of the media everyday.
We sat and watched the housing market bubble burst, the banking bailouts, the unemployment figures, the health care fiasco, the high rise in taxes, the stock market waves, the pension shortages, the corruption in all aspects of government and business.
Next it will be the credit card bubble and the commercial real estate bubble which are ready to pop.
We cannot control any of these things. It is useless to worry about them at this point.
What we can control as a small town is our local government.
We have to come together and make Mullica our safe haven to get through the hard times ahead.
I feel that Chasey and Crowe will cause more division, anger and hostility among our residents.
I have decided to support Gabris and Polk, who along with St. Amour and Graebener, will bring a new gentleness and peace to a torn town.
I urge everyone to think about the past and try to imagine a future where we are one community, neighbor helping neighbor, with an honest, open government that will treat everyone with dignity, respect and equality.
What a choice we have this year. We can elect either Chasey and Crowe or Polk and Gabris. That means we have a choice between Dumb and Dumber (Chasey/Crowe) or Smart and Honest (Polk/Gabris).
Kathy & Bruce carry so much baggage that I as a Republican cannot vote for them in the primary. Republicans should vote "None of the Above" for town council. Come November, we will hopefully have a 4 member Democratic Committee and Bill Kennedy can just sit there as the "ODD man Out".
Re 10:02 am
Your description of that Dec. 2007 committee meeting was accurate.
When Chasey and Forman thought they lost the majority committee vote, they passed ordinances to join the planning board and zoning boards into one land use board and stacked it with their own appointments.
They steamrolled 8 ordinances through, including many resolutions for large salary increases for the town employees.
All this was done despite major objections from the public who wanted them to wait one month and let the Dems. have a voice.
Chasey's desperate actions in the past, when she thought she was losing power, predicts that she will try again to sabotage the Dems.to the detriment of the town.
We are all going to pay for those 16% salary increases over 4 years.
What will she try to push through between now and January if she feels she'll lose her power completely? I don't know. I do know that the blame will lay squarely on Kennedy's shoulders if he votes along with her.
She's going down and we must be vigilant that she doesn't deliberately drag the town under in her last swan song months.
The panicked rush to make a Land Use Board filled with their appointments just highlights Chasey and Forman's frantic desire to control the zoning and development decisions in Mullica.
I'm glad this got overturned and the Dems. got back their legal right to appoint some people of their own choosing.
I imagine that this defeat made them realize that in order to regain control they needed to seduce Kennedy to do their bidding. A brilliant, diabolical plot that worked like a charm.
They turned a man,who they once laughed and joked about, into their hero and savior.
How sad that their quest for power and control had no moral, ethical or legal limits.
There is much danger ahead before January. Outgoing Janet Foreman will show her hand as she goes for broke on the way out. Cathy Chasey will be extremely spiteful to the town if she loses. No one should be celebrating early nor let their guard down as the worst is yet to come.
When Chasey and Forman, with the help of Don Kehrli, voted in late 2007 to combine the zoning and planning boards, it was because Graebener & St. Amour made that one of their campaign promises. Chasey and Forman wanted to jump the gun to try to name their own members. NOT ONCE did Chasey and Forman talk about combining boards before the election, only AFTER Kehrli and the other guy (Lambert?) lost. These are vindictive, unhappy women. Forman does it out in the open, and Chasey lets Forman do the dirty work for her.
Chasey is the mastermind...Forman can't even carry Chasey's jockstrap.
