What a crock of crap!
Chasey,Forman and Kennedy are all for doubling the Public Defender fees on the poorest of our poor to bring more money into the town but are against the State trying collect more money from people who make over $150,000 a year.
Their blatant hypocrisy is amazing!

It seems to me that that bus driver is doing something wrong.
I'd be upset if a bus was turning around in my driveway everyday.
Maybe a few tickets would force the bus company to change it's route. What right does that company have to tell it's drivers to go on private property?

re 10:00pm.
After I heard what the lady was asking for, I knew that she probably never saw or attended a meeting before.
The chance of that request being fulfilled was 0 to none.
We're not one of those fancy towns that have the equipment to even cut down our own trees.

I liked that part that's it's not too late to discuss a 0% increase in the budget. While Forman,Chasey and Kennedy are so concerned about the rich folks in the state, people in Mullica are losing their jobs and homes.
Forman announced that the school budget will be discussed on April Fool's day. I hope our new Board of Education isn't planning any dirty little tricks on that day. This is a year to cut as much as possible and give us a break.

I hope they come up with a realistic budget. It's hard not to be resentful of lifetime benefits, job security and regular raises when you don't have that but are forced to pay it for other people.
The teachers, police and town employees have to realize that alot of us are losing our jobs or our hours have been cut. It's a struggle just to put food on the table, if we're one of the lucky ones that still have a table.
I can't sleep at night anymore because I don't know what tomorrow will bring.
Gas,food,insurance,drugs,health insurance,electric,heating,car payments,mortgage etc.are getting out of control.
A tax increase this year might put alot of people in deep trouble and it would be in the best interest of our community if the town employees,Committee, the Board of Education and the teachers all worked together to keep costs down and to make some sacrifices.

A tax increase won't make any difference to those people who are having financial difficulties right now.
However, I think that it is important for the township to have a zero percent increase as long as we remain in a recession. Unlike the Federal government, we cannot borrow money and pay it back in better times. More people will be late paying their tax bills and increasing the budget just makes it harder for the town to pay the bills. How about a wage freeze for all municipal employees?

I think that the underlying reason for Forman opposing the proposal that people earning $150,000 or more from not having a property tax deduction to help balance the state budget, was that the housing sales market would suffer even more because these are the only people still able to buy houses. Not having this deduction would perhaps discourage them from buying. She was voting from a personal reason, being a realtor.
She said if these people didn't get the deduction then no one should, no matter what their income.

A tax decrease would be helpful this year but that would mean letting go of some of our unnecessary public servants.
I live in Devonshire and I always at least one Mullica police car patrolling every time I am on the Pike or Moss Mill. We must have the two safest roads in the county. I could do with a little less safety if my taxes came down.

The woman who was having an issue with the unsafe school bus route should contact the Mullica school board. Aren't they responsible for all the school bus routes in our township?

Anonymous said...

Re: 8:47 AM poster-Do with a little less safety for less taxes? You are willing to sacrifice safety for $10 a quarter in tax savings? Please tell me where you live and I'll kick in the $10 a quarter and direct all the criminals and bad drivers your way.

9:02 Once again, fees are WAIVED if the alleged drunk driver is truly poor, and what relationship does that have to taking a long time deduction from a singled out group of working class New Jerseyans and leaving it in for others? Hypothetically we want to encourage all people to be able to afford and be afforded these breaks to encourage the stimulating of the economy by stimulating the housing market. The feds are giving 8 grand to those couples who make under 150 to purchase a new home. Terrific! Now lets see how that takes off before we play that old bait and switch from one giving one handout and then taking 5 away. Even BIG democrats aren't happy with these proposals. Do you read the paper, or just this rag?

Oh, 9:02pm...this post HAS TO BE from our illustrious Mayor, Mrs. Forman. It is the typical Republican drivel of levying the highest fees on those with the least ability to pay, then providing tax breaks for those who earn more...if you look it up online, only 14% of NJ families earn the $150K+ amount. The Mayor stated that if they lose their property tax deduction, then ALL should lose the deduction. That makes sense. Families earning $40K, $50K, $60K, just trying to stay in their house, take away their deduction. The $150+ plus who overspent and are in debt up their eyeballs, let's not hurt them. I have some news for the Mayor...the people who live in Mullica, for the most part, are a lot more like the families struggling to get by, not like the $150K+.

Plus, dear Mayor, this smells like the cry of a realtor who is having trouble selling houses. How many have you sold in the last year?

Chasey and Forman have a long history of taking care of their friends, and Forman is taking care of her own selfish financial interests with this one---while taking more money out of the pockets of indigent defendants who MAY or MAY NOT be guilty.

And don't put Kennedy in the same lot as yourselves. Kennedy is an idiot who doesn't even know what room he is in, let alone what he is voting on. If he didn't have Chasey and Forman to tell him what to do, he'd probably piss in his pants instead of going to the bathroom.

For those of you who do not believe what an idiot Kennedy is, just ask him what the resolution about the property tax deduction was about, and who it applies to. If you watch the meeting on Mullica News' site, he is truly baffled about what is going on, but thankfully Chasey and Forman have already brain-washed him on how to vote, if that is even possible for someone without a brain.

Janet was looking out for herself (surprise!).
Kathy was trolling for votes among the rich Sweetwater crowd.
Kennedy didn't know what the hell he was doing.

RE: Property tax deduction
I would have preferred that the cut off be $250,000, like Obama is proposing for any income tax increase. $150,000 is still middle class in my book and paying it will still hurt for some people in that bracket, especially if they are out of a job at the moment.

Thanks 12:07, someone that understands whats going on, not just ready to blame anything and everthing on a poltical group. Most of you on this site , writing on this topic don't have a clue to what the issues are! Social equalization, humm, I guess if I were you that wouldn't sound so bad, but I work, and the thought of working less so that you don't get more is a thought that is becoming more and more real to me everyday.

The average person can't afford any more taxes and nobody wants to give up any deductions.
I think a freeze on public employee wages should be put in place statewide and all departments should be examined to eliminate waste or unneccessary expenses.
Federal,State and Local governments have grown too big with the high wages, lifetime benefits and pension plans that we can't afford to feed them anymore.

2:49pm, just another ignorant, out of touch post from our esteemed Mayor, Mrs. Forman. What she forgets is that people like her earn good money thanks to the ability of the middle-class to purchase homes from her. Without the middle-class folks who earn $40K-$100K per year, people like Mrs. Forman would not be financially successful (despite being morally bankrupt). The difference between schlocks like Forman and entrepreneurs like Bill Gates is that Gates understands where his money comes from and doesn't bristle over paying his "fair share" and giving to causes for the less fortunate. The only time Forman does anything for charity is if it benefits her by giving her exposure or securing votes.

Mrs. Forman states that she is inclined not to work as hard so that have-nots won't cash in on her success. Thanks to the recession, she already ISN'T working that hard. She obviously has plenty of time to contribute to "rags" like this site, whining to the folks at Mullica News and trashing them to all who would listen when their poll showed that the people in Mullica don't want her as Mayor, and pretending that she is back in high school on Facebook. Not to mention six years as a do-nothing on township committee. It looks like she has decided to retire, let's hope she moves to Myrtle Beach as soon as possible.

...on her yacht, Knot Guilty!

RE 8:14pm
I wouldn't say she did nothing for those six years. She and Chasey did work on the negotiations that gave out all the generous raises to the Municipal employees and lost the Comcast cable filming of our meetings.
They were instrumental in pushing for the rezoning of Elwood Village and hiding the facts about the garbage rail transfer deal.
I'm sure she has spent many long hours compiling her vendetta files of everyone who opposed her.
The list of six years of her lies might be listed in another post someday.
I can only hope that the DEP will give her the maximum fines and make her restore the wetlands.

Re 8:14pm
So Forman's in Facebook??
She needs to be in a mugshot.

Anonymous said...

The most telling proof that Forman not only considers herself elite and has nothing but contempt for the less fortunate can be shown by the following. As most governmental bodies are trying to save folks from losing their homes Forman sends mailers out to residents asking to be their agent when they have to sell their homes.I actually hopes she runs again so the residents can send her the message.

Re 11:51 pm
Your mentioning of the mugshot brings to mind the fact that Facebook has turned out to be the first place that law enforcement looks for psychological profiles and items that can be admitted into court proceedings.
When someone commits a crime or something big happens, the first thing you see on TV are the Facebook pictures and the comments written by the person.
The personal photos and the things these people say can come back to haunt them forever.
I won't allow my kids to use Facebook. Something they think is funny now might affect their adult professional life.
I, as an adult, have no burning need to tell the world boring drivel, like my husband enjoys fishsticks on Friday nights.

Re 12:27 pm
I know the economy is bad but other people are getting new listings. She's been running the same four houses for over six months and they keep getting reduced.
One of those properties sure looks like the infamous "love shack" that we used to hear about. The picture makes it appear that it's being pushed over by the breeze.
She should have put "no photo available" on that one to draw in more interest.

I got curious about Facebook and looked up a few things.

In their privacy statement, they say that they can use information about the users that they collect from other sources, including but not limited to newspapers and internet blogs, etc.to supplement their users' profiles.
Plus they have the right to sell a user's data.

Facebook's latest round of funding was led by Greylock Venture Capital, whose senior partner is Howard Cox. Mr Cox is also on the board of In-Q-tel,which is the venture-capital wing of the CIA.

By voluntarily uploading your ID details, photographs and lists of your favorite consumer objects, you have given away your privacy rights and become a free talking advertiser for Coke or Verizon.

"Share" is Facebookspeak for "advertise". Facebook is an extension of the American imperialist program crossed with a massive information-gathering tool.

Parts of this were from "Why you should beware of Facebook" by Tom Hodgkinson.
This is not for me. I think I'll just pick up the phone and chat with my friends,at least until mandatory wiretapping is put into effect for everyone.

re 8:11 pm
I guess we all know someone who has a pretty hefty supplemental profile. WOW! CIA?
CIA??? Holy S--t!

The infamous "love shack" is a telling story that explains a lot about the Formans and their political influence over local government. You can find some of the details by searching the Gadfly archives.

Anonymous said...

I took a peek at the archives and found some amazing things.
June 20,2004
"...The Formans had lied and put in a phoney toilet pipe to fool authorities into believing that there was a pre-existing septic system..."
That is priceless!!
Their contempt for the laws and the environment is never ending.

Anonymous said...

What I find truly amazing is that Kennedy and Chasey voted for Forman to be Mayor and her husband to be on the planning board.
They have insulted our community by supporting these two people and condoning all their illegal activity.
Chasey has shown her true colors with this vote and the only way to stop the corruption in this town is to get "The Master" OUT OF OFFICE!

Anonymous said...

I believe that there was a story going around town about how the township construction officer at the time quit his job over the "Love Shack" when township officials told him to just leave the Formans alone. He reportedly said something like, this is nuts; I don't need this!, and walked out.

Anonymous said...

Re8:22pm
That is exactly why we need honest, ethical people on the committee. Nobody should be forced to overlook illegal behavior in order to keep their jobs.
The Twp. Officials should have backed that construction officer to do his job according to the laws instead of harassing him.

That's how bullies operate. They put fear into everyone to get what they want and make people keep their mouths shut.
This breeds anger, discontentment and is demoralizing.
It's time to make Mullica a town where employees, volunteers, teachers, police, and the citizens are all treated equally and can voice their opinions without fear of retribution.
To do this,we must all stand together and elect people who will bring honesty and fairness to the town with an open, clean government.

Anonymous said...

The Forman's have been using their political positions for years for financial gain with no regard for the law or other people in Mullica.

Chasey and the other officials in this town that cover for them are just as guilty.
I think the 12 DEP violations are just to big to cover up this time.
I hope the DEP finds out who wrote that false 2003 letter saying the old violations where fixed.
This has gotten to much publicity for them to pay off any DEP officials and it's going to cost them a fortune to fix.
Who can cover-up for them this time? Do their tentacles reach into the State? Is the State ready for a Federal investigation into their own corruption if this gets swept under the rug?

Anonymous said...

RE 8:22 pm post
If the rumor is true then the time frame of all this makes Chasey"one of the township officials".
Besides septic isues there was also an issue of a township road on the property that was never vacated. This might explain why the house has been for sale so long. A self proclaimed hotshot realtor who cant even sell her own house. Who'd list with her? Maybe the same folks who made her Mayor.

Anonymous said...

7:28 AM post
The paper road that abuts the love shack is the only remaining public access to the Mullica River in the township. The road is not part of the love shack property.

Anonymous said...

RE 12:38 AM
Maybe it would be cheaper for the Forman's just to hand over their keys and sign the deed of their house over to the DEP and move into the "Love Shack".
Better yet, I hope they just jump on the "Knot Guilty" and float on down to Myrtle Beach before they can cause more damage to this town.

Anonymous said...

The "Knot Guilty" is too big for the Mullica. It's an ocean yacht.

Re:728am
Not only was Chasey on the Committee but the recently mentioned Bruce Crowe was Mayor.
What a team that was! His idea of "open government" was threatening to throw a citizen out the window for asking questions.

Anonymous said...

I've heard rumors that the Republicans are putting Bruce Crowe up to run with Chasey.
At first I thought this was a funny, ridiculous joke being put on the grape vine but now I'm hearing it from people who really believe it's true.
That guy has less brains than Kennedy and more of a reputation.
Is that the only person Chasey could find that she still has control over?

Anonymous said...

After reading that post on concussions, I have a little more sympathy for Kennedy. I can see how being smacked in the head for 21 + years by his mother could have left permanent damage.
Are there any physical traumas that could account for Forman and Chasey's arrogant, nasty, secretive, licentious behaviors?

Anonymous said...

Who could know what happened to make Chasey and Forman into greedy, scary, power mongers. The actresses might have succeeded in a bigger town but they have stepped on and tried to hurt too many people here with their back room dealings and personal antics.

It would be advisable to look deeply at and remember for the future who their supporters are.

The people behind the scenes are of like mindset and are not looking out for the benefit of the community but only their own pockets.

Now is the time to flush out the cronyism, nepotism, backroom deals, no bid deals, unquailified appointments, selective enforcement, harassment, gag orders and corruption.
We need to bring dignity and equality back to Mullica.

Anonymous said...

Re 1:26 pm
I agree 100% with you.

Anonymous said...

Re 1:26pm
Would you please tell me the years in which Mullica had "dignity and equality". It's been so long that I can't remember.
