I wonder what Gary Franklin thinks about that one??
Good luck Bruce this is your time to make things right for Mullica good luck mayor Crowe
Gee, I thought it was Mayor Chasey and Deputy Mayor Crowe, what a difference a day makes. Perhaps they can share a cell phone and save some money for the taxpayers, nah, never happen. Here's hoping Bruce Crowe is eating crow in November.
Go Brucie!
TO 2:14pm Anonymous:
It is a shame that narrow minded people in this Twp would rather pay $50,000 + to Hammonton then kept the volunteers. For the last 8 yrs the volunteers have cost the Twp $16,500 per year. Take a moment out of your day and peek in the window of the garage bay that we have called home. It would not pass an OSHA inspection. The narrow mind people in this Twp much rather pay someone to do something the volunteers were more then will to do. After numerous requests to the Twp and numerous promise from the Twp, the members of the Squad said enough. All that we asked for was a building with running water.
To Bill Kennedy - The Squad has been to your house for calls, I did not hear a compliant from your family about the quality of care they received.
To Mike St Amour - You accomplished what you set out to do - CONGRADULATION. You really are keeping Mullica green, meaning that more money is going out of the Twp Budget. Thank you.
Proud and Sad Member of Mullica Twp EMS.
The squad resigned months ago.So why would the township still want to hold onto these old vehicles? They're not doing anyone any good just sitting in the township garage. If,in the future sometime, there are enough EMT volunteers on hand to to justify the expense of reconstituting the squad,it will get new equipment. In the meantime, sell off the old obsolete ambulances while they still have some value to them. They're not being operated and they serve no other legitimate purpose right now.
The Rescue Squad sent their resignation letters to the WHOLE town before they even informed the township as I recall.
They couldn't get any help from the Republican committee for ten years and they have the nerve to blame St. Amour for their problems. What a joke that is!
I have the feeling that "somebody" has been hand feeding all of our good rescue people from a plate full of bull shit.
Maybe they should start facing the facts that they have been the blind puppets of a political show choreographed by their puppetmaster.
The plot didn't work and he's upset that the plate fell in his lap.

To proud, sad member of the disbanded EMS
It's not just $16,000 a year. You forgot to mention all the gas bills, insurance money, a new building with heat, air conditioning and electric bills plus the monsterous cost of new or updated ambulances that would be needed in the near future.
You also forgot to mention that the town officials and the town were shocked by the way you just took it on your own to pay Hammonton for the rest of the year and just quit without any notice.
Your leaders made the decision to do this and now you're upset with people who had nothing to do with this decision or the years of neglect the Squad suffered.
Alot of innocent people were hurt in this action and you should find the courage to dig deep to find the difference between the real truth and the big lies you were told.
Why are you people even responding to the sad EMS person?
Look what happened last time they wrote in and complained.
THEY started the talk about the rescue squad here and then Franklin had a shit fit blaming the Gadfly for them disbanding.
That had to be the stupidest reason I ever heard of in my life.
That whole walk-out was planned a long time before they started writing here.
At least it got us some free advertising in the AC Press.
How come Cathy Chasey wasn't at the meeting to support the "squad" the other night? Did she want to have it both ways? You know, during all those years that the squad was getting the short end, Chasey sat on committee, along with all her fellow Republicans. But Gary Franklin had only praise for her and the other Republicans the night he announced the squad's resignation and instead blamed Larry Angel. If this isn't rank political hypocrisy, I don't know what is. Why would anyone still trust what he says? I certainly don't. He might be a smooth talker but he already lost credibility with me long ago.
Wasn't Bruce Crowe on committee many of those years that the rescue squad was neglected? I bet that won't phase Franklin into not voting for him this year. He's got other fish to fry.
The 729 comment about Chasey wanting it both ways is right on. Everything now is to get votes so while the Franklin group will back her she will also get a lot of votes for folks who wanted the taxes and costs cut. They'll assume she was part of the vote to sell the ambulances . Seeing the confusion on the prematurely aged, tired and bloated Forman it was apparant she wasnt told by Chasey beforehand. She was left to hang and deal with it. Seems to be another indication she no longer matters and has been thrown to the wind. Many (including Republicans) have been muttering "That ______Forman is only out for herself" for quite awhile. She'll also be the scapegoat along with Kennedy when Chasey campaigns Maybe if Chasey feels now that she needs support she ought to ask the other 2 committee folks who were elected by the people an have a legitimate vote and brains.
It is unfortunate that Forman is on committee. She ran for the wrong reasons: to protect her husband's dealings with the township and to enhance her real estate business. You can't do the right thing for the community when personal considerations interfere with your decision making. One can say the same thing about Kennedy, who has allowed his friends to influence him all too often.
I watched the recording of the meeting. I don't know it is just me but did it seem to anyone else to be a bit less contentious than usual without Chasey there?
Your right 11:53 am. I noticed that as I watched, too. Although there was disagreement, there was a back and forth discussion and even Kennedy talked more then ever.
When Chasey's there, she over talks everyone and just takes over. If she doesn't like something, she just laughs, becomes loud, intimidating and demanding or acts like she knows everything. Her specialty is lying or twisting the facts in a forceful ,believable way.
The 3:05 poster has described Chasey accurately. It's like she has an agenda that she's going to get though no matter what the others might think. The voters picked five people to represent them, not just her. There seemed to be more give and take among the committee, with everyone being respectful to each other. It was a nice change. I didn't see any animosity. Chasey always tries to take over and I think that creates ill will.
