Our property taxes have been going up every year, with nothing to show for it. We have a bloated police department that needs some serious trimming.
I wonder who the people are, who feels that the taxes are just right? They are kidding right or perhaps they work in the school, in town hall or the police department where they are paid out of tax payer dollars?
We can no longer afford paying our township and school staffs, who make more in salaries and benefits than most Mullica residents.
My taxes are as much as my parents who have waterfront property in Ocean County-and you can imagine the services that go with it. Our local goverment needs to be very prudent when it comes to spending OUR MONEY.
Our huge tax bills are a result of the generous annual pay raises and the gold-plated benefit package increases awarded to Mullica's township and school employees every year. Nothing will change until this does.
