A nice piece of Florida property looks mighty good right now.

You send the kids up here to live with the relatives in Mullica so they can still get a good education.

7:25 pm, you forgot to add "and don't leave before November".

That's funny! I'm waiting for Nov. to make my future plans and it's not because of the weather. It's getting more expensive to live here everyday. I'm sure I can find some other place to live with no city water,no sewers,no garbage pick-up,no town shopping center,no senior services & no local cable access channel, etc.
My new place will have plenty of used car lots, junkyards and trailer parks and I'll make sure I can shoot my shotgun as much as I want right off my porch in case my neighbors have any complaints about me.
I should feel right at home and only pay about $500 a year in taxes because before I buy I'm going ask if all the town employees get lifetime benefits and generous raises every year.
I'll chip my own tree limbs and make my own mulch so I won't miss our two services.
I understand about wanting to have your children in school here but mine are grown and I can't afford to pay taxes for all the new kids that will come from the rezoning efforts. The last estimate was $12,000 per child. Even at one kid per house, the taxes on those itty bitty houses on 6 per acre could never come near the cost of the education bill.
Chasey, Forman, the Pineslands Commission, COAH, and the new bill that will let all ages in that the developers are fighting for, are going to make a disaster of this town. More families, more police, more employees, way more taxes, way more pollution and you'll probably lose your free mulch anyway.

RE: 4:10AM Poster
If you don't have any kids to worry about educating, want low property taxes and nothing more, much of Alabama replicates Mullica Township in many of the other ways that you mention.

Hey 4:10..don't let the door hit you in the ass!

Some advice to 4:10 am, don't complain about wetlands being filled in down there or you'll probably be buried in them.
You'll have to worry about gators in your back yard instead of bears and don't by any way irritate the officials down there. I hear they carry Bowie Knives for toothpicks.
Otherwise, you will be very comfortable in that nice warm weather.

In Mullica, they just use more finesse. Like assaulting a political opponent with their pickup truck.
