I would like too see that money go to the Fire Dept. for the repairs they need. Chief Barbera can wait for his new 4x4.

The 6:04 PM writer must be referring to the the 2009 4x4 Cadillac Escalade that the chief asked for this year.
No joke, folks!

The way the economy is right now with the numerous forclosings and the suffering in this town, a request like that shows the complete lack of regard and respect the officials of this town have for the taxpayers.
These people have forgotten that
WE,the people,are their bosses.
WE,who have to fix up our old junks with spare parts, are paying their generous salaries and lifetime benefits.
WE are the hosts of this luxurious party they are having.
A basic rule of nature is that the parasite doesn't kill it's host or else they both die.

RE: 7:47 AM-No, not a joke and too many people know the story. And yes folks, that was probably Mayor Forman calling you "poor, stupid folks", what else is she hiding for Chief Barbera?

I think that the chief asked the taxpayers to foot the bill for a new, more "middle-class" 4x4 for him to drive home in after he was shot down on the Escalade idea, which was to be paid for by a county recovered crime fund distribution. I'm surprised that our mayor doesn't seem to know the story.

Re9:08 am Why are the police allowed to take the Twp. cars home with them?
If the Chief gets his new 4x4,does he also get the privledge of riding around in it while he's off duty?
Is the Twp. covered for insurance if the vehicle is used for his personal use?
What about all the extra gas that we're footing the bill for?

Re 1:59 pm
You're wondering about the use of the car while he's off duty, maybe you should look into where he goes and what he does while he's on duty.

Re 7:47 AM
I got news for you. The "poor, stupid folk"were never stupid. They just had the trust that the people they elected would keep their oath of office and do the best things they could for the town.
"Enough confusion and they'll believe anything" must have been Chasey and Forman's favorite line during the back room meetings about the garbage transfer station and the rezoning fiascos.

Chasey and Forman are exposed for the liars they are and they can't rewrite history. Everything they do and say now should be under a microscope to detect future plagues from being released in this town.
