The Mullica Township Board of Education is having their Budget Meeting on Wednesday, April 1 (and this is no joke) at 7:00 PM in the School Library. All residents are encouraged to attend.
Also, a SPECIAL BUDGET WORKSHOP MULLICA TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING has been scheduled for Thursday, April 2 at 5:00 PM at Town Hall. Again, all residents are encouraged to attend.

They all agreed that it's not too late for 0%.
Let's see how the Board of Education's new members prove their fiscal responsibility.
The Board of ED. is on April 1st and a special meeting for the town committee is on April 2nd.
I have a feeling that the Board is going to drop a big, bad bundle right onto the committees' large, legislative laps.
I say spend some money on parking at the school theres never enough parking at anytime, maybe tear up everything in front of the school.
Are the meeting agendas posted anywhere online for either of these meetings? I noticed that the school recently re-posted their past board meeting minutes, but there isn't any agenda posted on their website prior to the meetings. I have seen township meeting agendas posted on Gadfly.
Can someone please enlighten me, and maybe perhaps others, on how to navigate the websites for the respective meeting agendas?
Thanks very much.
The township committee meeting agenda and minutes can be viewed at www.mullicatownship.org. In the upper right corner, there is a link you can click to see the agenda for all meetings, although the budget one isn't up yet, and meeting minutes from prior meetings may also be viewed.
As for the School Board, their site has minutes listed, but no agenda listed for any meetings.
Both meetings have to be advertised in the Press and perhaps the School Budget will be in the Public Notice section tomorrow.
I did notice that all the other townships have articles in the paper about their school budget meetings, but Mullica seems to be keeping it hush-hush.
Mullica always tries to keep the budget hush-hush from the public. The fewer the number of non-parent voters there are, the better the chance of the budget passing. On the day of the voting, the school will use its emergency phone messaging system, paid for by all the taxpayers, to remind only the parents to come out and vote.
So what happens if the budget is rejected by the voters?
Do they go back to the drawing board to try to reduce it or give it to the Twp.Committee or some other County board to pass it anyway?
