The blog was started in 2003 by Larry Angel and has become an outlet and source of information for many residents, volunteers and employees of Mullica Township.
Larry's opinions on world events and the day to day operation of the government of Mullica are memorialized in the archives from 2003 to May 8,2008 for all to peruse.
Larry Angel's unique,colorful writing style could never be duplicated,so the Gadfly has undergone many changes over the years.
Mullica Township is a Pine Barren community without a town newspaper or news letter, no televised or internet committee meetings and no press reporters at the meetings.
The Gadfly tries to fill the void by alerting the residents of meetings, events and articles of local interest from various sources. Most importantly, it gives a voice to the people. All residents are invited to share their opinions with anonymity or signed under each article posted.
Everyone is invited to send in articles of interest, announcements, letters of your concerns or opinions and even tips about what's going on in your neighborhood that needs investigation.

I voted in good faith for Kennedy but against my better judgment and under the advice of the St Amore/ Graebener posting on this site. Boy do I feel like dumb ass. Kennedy is nothing but a sleezy liar on equal footing with the Gov of Illinois.
Nothing to do with for the good of the community, that's for sure.
Today is not April 1st .....therefore, this can only be a PUNK on the part of Ashton Kutcher.
The Republicans don't want her because of all the bad publicity she has had and her vindictive nature. If Chasey votes for her,it will effect Chasey's reputation,too. Here we go again being the embarrassment of the whole county because of Bill Kennedy's stupidity.
The silver lining is that Mr. Swagger will again be the nobody that he once was, who was given his chance to shine this year as mayor by the election of fellow Democrats Graebner and St Amore to committee. He will have no real voice or respect on committee next year, stuck somewhere between the Ds and Rs, neither one nor the other, and known amongst his peers for being the untrustworthy liar that he has shown himself to be. He has no one to blame but himself. Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Everyone knows that Kennedy is a big liar. Are you guys sure he's not just playing with you with this information? It's hard to believe that "Mr. Big Head"'s ego would let go of the "Mayor" title.
Who's going to be Deputy Mayor? Will they perform marriage ceremonies? I would love to see Kennedy join a gay couple in a partnership.
Kennedy has no honor.
Its going to be payback time now that the snake is being released from its cage. Lets hope the list/file she supposedly has on her enemies is false.
Maybe this is a joke since she was found guilty of filling in wetlands and building structures .
If not then everyone is in for a very nasty year or more if she runs again and wins and she may since the Republicans will automatically back their leader..The reign of terror is here.
When I saw the headlines, I thought this was one of the joke letters like "You might be a Republican if...". After I read the site, I actually got sick to my stomach. Kennedy is a hateful,stupid person who cares nothing about this town. Chasey will have to give her vote on this. If I was Chasey, I would try to convince Kennedy to stay as Mayor. As bad as he is,he would be a better choice then Forman
I feel so bad for the two Dems.. They are smarter and more educated,& more honest then the other three and nothing they do or say matters because of Kennedy.
Is there ant way to remove Kennedy from office now that we know what he is up to ?????
I would love to see Kennedy come out of the closet and actually make an honest man of his secret gay lover and perform his own civil union.
I know there is a way to remove politicians from office, I heard it is difficult to do. I will look into this effort and report back here on Gadfly as to what is required to make this happen. Through this website, word of mouth and community action, I know we can make this happen with a good number of dedicated volunteers. It would surely be an effort worth taking...given we have three more years of this incompetent liar to live with. Count me in.

HEY! I take exception to the poster that referred to the "If you....you might be a Mullica Republican." series of postings as a "joke letter". There was nothing funny about those postings.
How can someone, who has violated the Mullica Township land use ordinance, be on the committee, let alone Mayor?
one inadvertent violation of land use law is one thing, but illegal floating docks (2), filling in wetlands, rerouting a freshwater stream with pipes, building an illegal garage are unexcusable. its a disgrace that someone like Janet Forman sits on council supposedly representing the best interest of this town. she only represents her own best interests and the interests of her business partners...aka chief barbera, waszen and others at the county republican machine.
after reading all these comments about how Forman violated all these laws no one in this town will take her seriously nor listen to her will as Mayor . They will only mock her much to her chagrin but she seems to have earned it. Any truth to the rumor that the garage is living quarters for a relative?

One problem with Janet Forman is that she supports rezoning downtown Elwood to help out Waszen and his friends and as mayor she gets to choose the members of all the advisory boards. So Kennedy, who just ran on a platform of not changing Elwood's zoning for more housing, votes for a mayor who will facilitate the opposite of what the majority of the voters had expected would happen by re-electing Kennedy. Kennedy puts friendship ahead of community and he should not be in office. Hopefully, people will tell it to his face but watch out if you call him a liar.

Yes, Mullica's voters are the butt of a joke, once again.
Yes, the butt of a joke orchestrated by Forman and Chasey and stupid Bill played along like an ignorant ass-using and abusing the people of Mullica again and again.
Dictionary: Ass- "A vain, self-important, silly, or aggressively stupid person."
