Mullica may limit stumping at the dump

Published in the Press of Atlantic City on Monday, November 03, 2008

MULLICA TOWNSHIP - Ask the two guys running for Township Committee on Tuesday, and Mayor William Kennedy and Joseph Maultz will give you the distinct impression that campaigning at "the dump" has not figured prominently in their plans. For full story, click here.

The Safety Committee also recommended restricting the discharge of firearms in very close proximity of neighbors' homes and buildings so I have to assume that Chasey, Forman and Kennedy also support "Safety First" on this issue too, no?

Did they?Don't think so.

Exactly....Kennedy doesnt support a firearms restriction because he has been told that wouldnt be politically popular....although any half-conscious person realizes that the discharge of firearms is way more dangerous than greeting residents leaving the dump. What a joke Kennedy is.......there is no consistent, rational, logical thought in the man's body!!!! This is all about the Republicans attempting to limit our communities ability to communicate and inform the residents of this town. This is all being done in anticipation of Maultz being elected so that Chasey and Forman can once again attempt to bring senior housing to mullica and enrich their well-connected friends and business associates. Dont worry though.....thank God for the Pinelands Commission....and since the economy is in the tank.....nothing will be happening until after Nov. 2009 at which point we purge ourselves of the likes of Chasey and Forman. Enjoy the next year ladies...because after that, you will be shown the door by the electorate.

Do you mean to say that there is no law right now that prevents my crazy neighbor from shooting by my house? I thought that was a NJ law.

Read the first paragraph in the last column. "Frequent swing vote
Kennedy,a dem.,said though he is not particularly opposed to campaigning out there,he wondered why the safety committee, of which he is a member, should exist if its recommendation isn't heeded."
Well, if the safety committee recommends something to the Twp.
Council
and f & C are on one side and S & G are on the other, does Kennedy not have the deciding vote? Does he not realize that he is the reason recommendations are not heeded? He is in charge of public safety on the council. Is he calling for the abandonment of the safety committee?

What a crock of you know what!
Chasey and Forman are trying to stop political literature from being passed out. They were real upset about the pinelands paper against the development that was passed out. The dump is the quickest way to get the word out to the people. Are they planning something new that they want to cut off our main artery of communication???????

Can you give us some more info about what was said about the discharge of firearms and what was said & by who?

They wanted the "NO DUMP" signs taken down, they complained about
political literature delivered to citizens homes, Forman said that without Larry , "my life will be easier" and now they want to stop poltitcal literature at the "dump". It does appear that their main objective is to shut down as much free speech as possible in this town. Maybe their new campaign slogan for 2009 should be "The less you know, the better it is". Or "Your ignorance is bliss for us".
