Mullica can expect lively committee meetings

(Published in the Press of Atlantic City: Thursday, November 06, 2008)

MULLICA TOWNSHIP - Next year, legislative squabbling could be as rare in parts of western Atlantic County as praise for the state government's bean counters.

Hammonton First will control 86 percent of the council in its namesake town. Democrats retain 89 percent of the Egg Harbor City Council and 100 percent of Folsom's government is Republican.

Mullica Township, though, will once again feature in its governing body two Republicans and three Democrats - and one of those Democrats, the re-elected Mayor William Kennedy, has demonstrated his willingness to break ties in both directions. Full story found here.

Kennedy should be focused on trying to save the taxpayers money rather than seeking ways to spend more of it.

We got Kennedy in because he was against rezoning our part of town.
He lives here with us and he doesn't want to destroy our neighborhood with mass development.
That is one promise that he will stick to or else there will be a
LOT of angry people here.

Mike and Bernie, I like you guys
but I really think you made a bad choice backing this asshole. He's stabbing you in the back already.
Is he that dumb! He lost in the
Rep. wards.

Has anyone heard the rumors of a petition being passed around in
Wharton Park about shooting by houses? I'm all for the law but I'm very nervous about the nut next door to me finding out he can shoot right now. There has to be a better way to do this! I know my neighbor doesn't have a computer or read the paper and this will
bring the knowledge right to his front door. Please hold off the
petition!!! Let the town work on it some more. Maybe it could be included with the dump safety issues.

Here we go! His one priority in 2009 was "reserving" $6500-$7000 for a Veteran's Park in front of the twp. building. Were is he going to "reserve" this money from?
Our taxes? According to the fall newsletter, that "he" wrote, donations of about $7500 would be used to fund this project. He would have nothing to do with it.
The donated money was going to the "Twp. Community Events Trust". I guess he didn't even read the letter that "he" wrote.
He must have heard rumors around town hall that a Vet. park was proposed and never even bothered to investigate the matter. I am
disgusted by his lack of responsibility.

If he thought of himself as an
Independent, why didn't he run as one? He could have saved the
Democrats alot of embarrassment by
his being associated with their
good reputation.

Maybe he hasn't looked ahead to 2009 but I sure have!! Start now
Democrats! Get Chasey and Forman
OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT
They have done nothing but try to destroy this town and even the
Republicans know this. Do you
think they want to pay the high taxes that development will bring?
Back room meetings with rich developers, trying to block freedom of speech, giving high pay raises to town employees, making illegal
ordinances, auctioning our Twp.
land at an under appraised value, and the list goes on and on.
None of this helps the honest, decent, hard working Rep.'s in this
town. We're all in one boat here
and we should try to stop the
corruption together!!!!!

You know who is starting stuff on the comment page of the press.

I really don't see how they can run again with all the baggage they're carrying on their backs.

Of course he hasn't looked ahead to 2009, he isn't capable of looking ahead to tomorrow with out Chasey and Forman telling him what to do.

St. Amour and Graebener should have never campaigned for him anyway, Bill Kennedy is an lazy asshole.

Forman sat with Bill in court because she's a pro at the legal maneuvers, she's had lots of experience. Besides, she had to protect her investment.

I couldn't even hold my nose and push the damn button for him. I tried, I really tried, but in good conscious I couldn't do it.

Bill Kennedy is an ignorant, easily manipulated man and he will never understand or see how he is being used by Forman, Chasey, Barbera and all the other Republicans. I pity him and feel sorry that Mullica will have him around for three more years.

Would Joe Maultz have been a better choice? I don't know anything about him, but I doubt anyone could be as stupid or as easily mislead as Bill Kennedy. Maultz most likely is able to form sentence on his own, which probably scared Chasey and Forman a little bit. Maultz should feel good about the election. Someone who has lived in town less than a year pulled in pretty good numbers for an unknown.

Oh, and what the hell is this talk of a Veteran's Park that is a priority for Kennedy? The first I have heard this and it wasn't in his campaign mailing he did, which of course was such horseshit to begin with. He couldn't even come up with one damn accomplishment after being in office for three years?

He's an embarrassment to our community and he should be thanking the Democrats who unwittingly voted him in and St. Amour and Graebener for trying to cover up for his laziness and campaigning for him.

Kennedy is a blowhard.

Only thing i can say about kennedy==== howdy doody strings attacted to only his ass & not his mouth....

You sound tired and sad like me. It was such a let down to read his first interview after this fiasco. I had a real struggle to push that button and his nonchalant
attitude upset me. He could have thanked Elwood for putting him in.
