Keep Mullica Green Endorses Bill Kennedy for Re-Election

As found on the Keep Mullica Green website:

KEEP MULLICA GREEN ENDORSES BILL KENNEDY FOR RE-ELECTION TO MULLICA TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE
We believe that re-electing Bill Kennedy serves the best interests of the residents and taxpayers of Mullica. Bill has served on Township Committee for three years, the last year as Mayor.

Unlike his opponent, Bill has lived in Mullica for many years and has helped the people as a volunteer most of that time. Bill knows the township and the concerns and desires of the residents.

As Mayor, Bill has demonstrated a willingness to consider both sides of the issues. Sometimes we have openly disagreed with him on policy matters, as Bill has with us, but this is part of what good government should be about.

For the following reasons, we ask that you join with us in voting for Bill Kennedy for Township Committee:

· Bill opposes changing the zoning in Elwood Village Center to allow six or more homes per acre. Such dense housing development hurts our efforts to keep our community rural and diminishes our quality of life. Bill is not fooled by the misleading claim that the primary reason for this zoning change is to attract senior citizen housing and assisted living facilities there. Given The White Horse Pike’s unsuitable location for retirement and that there is little or no market for new, highly-regulated assisted living projects in southern NJ, who would believe this?

· Bill helped to institute a competitive application process for Township vendors to provide criteria on qualifications, instill competitive bidding and to attract more applicants for the positions available that will also generate more openness in our municipal hiring practices.

· Bill has appointed knowledgeable citizens to the Planning Board who share in the residents’ desire to protect Mullica from runaway residential development and who will implement our land use ordinance provisions fairly. Bill’s participation on the Board has also been an important, official role in his job as Mayor this year.

Sincerely,
Bernard Graebener

OH MAN! I understand your reasoning
but I really have to think about this one. Can I hold my nose tightly enough to push that button?

Why do things have to be so complicated? I have never thought about a national election as much as this one and now even my choice on a local level is causing my head to spin.

I guess it's a matter of the devil you know versus the unknown and it makes sense, sort of.

It is alot easier to face your enemies in combat then have your friends betray you behind your back. Larry backed Kennedy and helped him win the last time. Look how Kennedy thanked him by smearing his memory and invading his home. Maybe you can trust this man to stand by his stated beliefs but I can not.
The people will speak on Tuesday and no matter what happens,Mike and Bernie will have a fight on their hands this next year. They will need the support of the people to fight the big developers who want to destroy this beautiful rural town. I cannot, in good conscious, vote for either candidate.

xena, warrior princess - you must vote....and for Maultz. By not voting, you will be casting a vote for Kennedy. I too cannot bring myself to vote for Kennedy, but rather plan on voting for Maultz. On the contrary, I would rather vote optimistically for someone that has some level of intellect than to reelect a bozo like Kennedy. On this one, I must honorably disagree with KMG. Vote for Maultz local Democrats. Listen to Xena and to Mullicaman. Betrayal and dishonor cannot be overlooked or forgotten regardless of party affiliation. VOTE FOR MAULTZ!!!!!

Mullicaman, Where are you? I would love to hear what you think about this announcement. I'm on the fence and unfortunately, I don't know what to do.

Thank you for your opinion, Mullicaman. I will probably be off the fence by Tuesday.

Xena,
At the end of the day, who cares what Kennedy said about Larry? Kennedy cannot hold a candle to Larry. Kennedy will never, ever contribute as much good to the community as what Larry did for Mullica and most people know it. Kennedy, I have some advice to you: In the future, never speak ill of the dead. Rather, let them speak for themselves. That way you won't offend the living.
PS: Xena, You can't reward Cathy Chasey for Kennedy's poor character by not voting for him. She could well become Mayor next year and work to bring in housing development to Mullica of the type that she shilled for last year to help bail out Steve Waszen and his business associates. Wasn't she Mayor too when the trash dump was a "done deal" according to Joe Silipena? Why do you think that was the case?

I thank you both for your opposing
opinions. I see this is a matter that deserves reconsideration from all different angles.
