Forman Must Do the Right Thing: A Republican Perspective

I am a registered Republican and a former member of the Mullica Township Republican Club. Why am I a former member? Because I want to be as far away as possible from Janet Forman, especially if she persists in bringing down the entire Republican Party in Mullica Township around her.

Janet Forman’s petty squabbles, coupled with her husband’s years of intimidation tactics are an embarrassment to our municipality and to our party. No right-minded Republican in this town can look at the actions of these two over the years and feel proud that they are associated with and in many cases representative of the our party in Mullica.

Their laundry list of misdeeds is long and well-documented. Whether it be the nonsense with the husband’s insurance fraud, their above-the-law attitude while constructing a building without DEP approval on their property, the vehicular incident with St. Amour which despite lack of a full conviction, we all know the husband was completely out of line and in the wrong, their tactics of year-after-year of ripping down opposition political signs or Janet’s meltdowns at committee meetings, these are all embarrassments to our party.

Janet has made herself a lightning rod, and not in a positive way. There is a growing group of Republicans in my circle that simply won’t support another Forman run at office. We also recognize that because of all her baggage that she will damage Kathy Chasey’s chances of being reelected, as people will begin jumping across the ticket at Forman, and head straight down the other side and support both Democratic candidates as a result. Obviously, this is unacceptable, because a 5-0 Democratic controlled committee would be disastrous to the Republican Party.

I want to be the first, and I am sure I will not be the last, Republican to urge Janet not to run next November. Not only shouldn’t you run, but you should announce your intention not to do so very early in the process so there are no residual effects of your tainted legacy left come election time. That will be our only chance of not getting completely swept out of office come November, and will give us plenty of time to rebuild the party’s image and provide insulation to our new candidates.

I think Janet is a great part of the committee and she would be stupid to listen to you, your only one person. I guess you would like bruce the toe sucker crow to run again.

"Life's going to be a little easier from here on out", Janet Forman commenting on Larry's death, Press of Atlantic City, May 31, 2008.

I agree with Eye on Mullica. She is everything that is wrong with the Republican Party in our rural community. She needs to step aside and let some fresh blood with a new perspective take a shot at governing.

You stated "NO right-minded Rep.in this town can look at the actions of these TWO over the years and feel proud...". Why are you backing Chasey????????

Anonymous said...

Eye on Mullica, welcome to the blog.
Can you give me a few reasons that Chasey is an acceptable choice for you? Don't you think she has been damaged by her own actions for the last few years?

Anonymous said...

Hi EYE! Are you the same person that wrote the first letter about the Rep. split? Are you the person on the AC. Press comments page we have been watching?

Anonymous said...

Chasey has a truck load of her own baggage.

Anonymous#1---- Would you please tell us why you think Janet is a great part of the committee?
Maybe we have overlooked something and are misguided.

If you're trying to sell a really filthy house, would you just wash 1/2 of a window, dust 1/2 of a table, wax 1/2 of the floor, scrub 1/2 of the tub and toilet, etc.
The people coming to see the house would not notice all your hard work. Their attention would be drawn to the dirty areas which would look twice as bad then when you started, compared to the sparkling clean parts. Not only would they think something was wrong with you, you probably would lose the sale.
Your best bet would be to put it on the market "as is" and take a loss or clean the whole place up and get as many bidders as possible. If there are any realtors in the room, I'd like your opinion on that.

Eye on Mullica, I have been meaning to talk to you about your comment 11/12/08 at 7:53am on the Press. It was a bit misworded.
Instead of "physically attacking elected officals", it should have read "physically attacked by an elected official". I guess you just can't help putting a Republican spin on things. I am glad that you decided to join us here. It will be most interesting if you get some opposing views.

Larry's moniker for Mrs. Chasey as the "Bag Lady" was a double-entendre.

I am so encouraged that there is a chance next year that both parties will be able to work together for the betterment of Mullica. I am so tired of being embarrassed to tell people where I live. I hope the Republicans can find some people that are calm, intellegent and can be respectful to our citzens. I wish there was some kind of mental test that could be given to the candidates.

Did you notice the election results for ward 1? The Democrats didn't push that button blindly. They picked who they thought was the better person for the job. Balles won over Mcgettigan. If Chasey and Forman run again, it will be by informed choice that both Dems. and Reps. will push the Democratic buttons. That is exactly what I am going to do.

How anyone can still refer to themselves as a Republican is beyond me! What does it mean to be Republican nowadays? Out of control spending, corruption, lies, mismanagement, shredding the constitution, incompetence, politicizing the Justice Department, abusing your power, ignoring subpoenas, socialization of financial and banking industries, greed, no bid contracts, bigots, anti-women....the list goes on and on. Eye on Mullica and anyone else should be ashamed to call themselves a Republican!!!!

Someone asked the question why I am not against Chasey. I think Kathy isn't a bad person. I also think she has unfortunately been sucked into the Forman mentality due to her exposure to Janet and Glenn.

Once Chasey is out of the grip of the Formans, I believe she will do a good job as an elected official. Hopefully we can get Janet to step down so we can get second cadidate who won't drag down Chasey's campaign.

Eye on Mullica, why would you support Kathy Chasey. She was Maultz's treasurer for this last election. Why weren't there fliers mailed out telling the people about Maultz's background, family, business, education, platforms etc. like in the past. Was there any door to door campaigning or handing out info. at the dump? The majority of the people never even heard of Maultz and yet he almost won. It would seem that just a little promotion would have made him the winner and we would have had our Rep. seat. It looks like Kathy Chasey deliberately sabotaged our party with the lack of advertising, lack of support and the holding back of funds.
You want to get rid of Forman because of all the things you mentioned but you support Chasey. This makes me believe that you condone all her actions all these years. You ,too, are a traitor to our party. By supporting Chasey, you show you have no regard for the Reps. of this town who would enjoy alittle honest, decent, legal representation.
I would like to see them both step down now and be replaced by new people so there is some name recognition before the next election. I am signing this anonymous because I know all too well the intimidation tactics used in this town.

Hey Lou! I heard rumors that you smacked your wife around after the last town meeting when she made the Chief turn purple! HA HA

Eye on Mullica, I truly believe that Chasey was the one behind the transfer station and rezoning of the Waszen property proposals. She even wrote up a draft ordinance to the pinelands that none of the other committee people knew about in 2007. She has manipulated Kennedy and also Forman,to work for the rich Rep.county people who would help her future in politics to the detriment of Mullica. She only has her future on her mind and the power she'll gain by helping them. I will agree that she is intelligent and knows how to keep her mouth shut and smile,as Forman does all the dirty work for her. She needed Kennedy as a puppet for a mindless vote. She is power hungry! Look how she tried to push through illegal things at the Dec. 07 meeting to block the incoming Dems.from having any choice on the planning board.
You should look really close at your "friendship" with Kathy. You might be her latest victim, whom she is using to help detach Forman from her hip. She will be sweet and nice to you now but don't turn your back when she's done with you.

I thought the Republicans were going to defend Forman in some way.I guess they're having a hard time looking for something good to say. So far all we got was that she's better than Bruce"the toe sucker"Crow. I thought the Reps. were upset by use the nicknames.

Hey guys!!! Go read the latest post under "lively meetings" on the AC press comments. It's a good one!!!

Clearly Mullicaman so partisan that he is incapable of having a level-headed bi-partisan discussion. His comments from this point forward will be soundly ignored as the incomprehensible and misguided rhetoric that they are.

I am glad to see that the Republicans in this town are finally speaking their minds in terms of needing a change from the Forman regime in our 'Pine Laiden Haven.'

As far as Chasey goes, I believe the opinions here about her actions in the past are overstated. To play on a line from The Godfather, "You are giving her too much credit. She's not that clever."

Janet and Glenn Forman have pulled Chasey's strings and led her down the wrong path. All in all, however, my direct dealings with her without the Gruesome Twosome puppeteering her have always been pleasant and I believe that when she thinks for herself, she has Mullica's best interest at heart.

Response to anonymous #15
That is funny!! Obviously, you don't know my wife! We have been married a very interesting 41 years and I will admit that there have been times when I have felt my hair turning grayer. As far as smacking her around,I don't believe that violence is the answer to anything. Besides,if I ever did that I would have two choices: either move quickly out of the state or never go to sleep again.
HA HA

You are being deceived by the"Master". Years ago she might have had Mullica's interests at heart but not now. Power has corrupted her. She is extremely clever, pleasant and knowledgeable and she has been playing with the "big boys". She plans out her schemes in detail behind closed doors. Maybe they promised her a county position if they could get their cloven hooves on Mullica's soil. She has done everything in her power to shut down free speech and usher in the developers. The conventions, dinners, social contacts, etc ,have warped her thinking. Either you have been conned or you are her hitman on Forman and she has promised you something for your time and trouble.

How can you people think Janet isn't any good for anything. Just look at the dump. It hasn't run this smooth in years.

Eye on Mullica, what does it mean to be a Republican? Does this simply mean you are against abortion rights for women? Competence, fiscal responsibility, smaller government, personal freedoms and liberties, I agree, were once hallmarks of the Republican Party. But now? Do Republicans like yourself really believe this is what the Republican Party has become over the last eight years here in Mullica and nationally? Seems like you cant defend the Republican Party anymore than you can defend Janet Forman. However, you are clinging to Chasey like a newborn baby...blindly ignoring that enormous bossom full of treacherous Kool Aid that you have sucked down so feverishly. If I were you, I would ignore Mullicaman also....it would simply be a battle of wits for him against an unarmed opponent.

Anonymous said...

Eye on Mullica, are you sure you are a Republican? You write in complete sentences and have some coherency to your words. Except for this blind spot you have for Ms. Chasey, you could actually move up the food chain to Democrat...and from there, with a lot of hard work and reverse brainwashing, perhaps an Independent!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Speaking of the"Dump", why all of a sudden do Forman and Chasey want to block the handing out of literature to the public? They say it is for "safety" reasons. They are both coming up for re-election and would like nothing better then to shut down free info.given to the public. Maybe, they're trying another backroom deal like the rezoning. The Pinelands pamphlet didn't go over too well with them. Start saving your pennies Dems. because your going to need alot of postage money for the flyers next year. They might be an inch thick to contain all the crap that's been going on these last few years.

As for that latest comment on the press comment under "lively meetings"on 11/14 8:14 am.
You are spreading unfounded rumors.
If you are speaking again of Larry you are again bringing up the fact that our Mayor Kennedy, on the request of Kathy Chasey and aided by our chief of police, illegally entered a dead man's home and searched it. It is no secret that all three of these people hated Larry. They could have taken or left anything!! Most of the people in this town really liked Larry and are outraged at these peoples' actions. Does anybody believe these allegations? NO. The more you persist in spreading this false information, the more this story of illegal entry will be told. You certainly are not helping your re-election efforts or your relationship with the Chief, Chasey or Kennedy. When will you ever learn to just shut your mouth and contain your hatred of everyone. You are your own worst enemy and will be responsible for your own downfall.

Anonymous said...

Eye on Mullica
You are losing your case. I would believe you if you were talking about Kennedy getting his stings pulled. There is NO WAY Chasey is being influenced by the Formans. Chasey is the grand puppet master. Even if there was the remote possibility that you were right, why would we want someone who turned against the town.

More completely partisan banter from the Democrats here.

First and foremost, someone please give me a reason I am wrong about Chasey? Has anyone had to pull a gun on her to get them to stop harrassing them? Has her husband ran over an opponent because he was "mad he was saying things?" Has she built with DEP approval? Does she have a Death by Auto case hanging over her head?

The answer is no. I believe Chasey has been a follower, that's it. If left to her own devices, she will do a good job.

Now, I say this with an open mind. If one of you Democrats can get over yourselves and put aside the partisan namecalling like Mullica Man and the other idiot who is trying to bring abortion rights into a conversation about local politics, and make a cohesive argument with some facts about Chasey, maybe I can be convinced she needs to go too.

If you think that Forman cares about the party,Chasey or the town, you are sadly mistaken. She is in this for herself. Prepare to have her turn on you in her usual hateful, vindictive manner. Good Luck

Black Eye on Mullica, the simple facts are that Chasey and Forman have voted time and again in unison for the very subjects I previously posted on the AC Press, which you seemed to enjoy and find very entertaining - your welcome! I have attended enough Township Meetings to tell you that Chasey and Forman have been in lock step for years. Gun control - no, Stinky Dump - yes, Rezoning Elwood Village to allow dense housing - yes, Limit freedom of speech at the transfer station, i.e. campaigning - yes. Its kind of funny that you think I am a Democrat. I am not a Democrat at all. I view myself as an Independent, as I have a more stereotypical Republican view on some issues, while agreeing with the Democrats on many others. You can't pidgeonhole a superhero. However, you still refuse to answer any of my basic questions. I too was once a self-described Republican, many moons ago. But the Republicans lost their way, especially during the last 8 years. I find it a personality flaw on your part not to acknowledge this basic fact. So, again I will ask. What does it mean to be a Republican nowadays? I will not hold my breath for your answer. Because as all good lawyers know, you only ask questions that you know the answer to. Mullicaman. P.S. My moniker is all one word - no spaces!

Anonymous said...

Eye on Mullica
I am against Chasey because of the effort to rezone the entire Elwood village for the benefit of a private land owner. I am against her because of the effort to sneak the trash transfer station into our town. Would you have been for these things?

Anonymous said...

Why don't you get some your rep. friends and go to talk to Janet. I'm sure if you explain the facts to her, she will gladly step down for the sake of the party and throw her support behind Chasey and the new person.

Anonymous said...

Mullicaman, I really do enjoy reading your posts! I agree with you 100% in your arguments against Chasey and Forman. You make a solid case in a most humorous way.

Anonymous said...

Thank you Gadfly!! You have given us a vehicle to express our opinions and debate many issues. I am sure the same people that hated Larry for exposing them will also be against this site. The truth only hurts those who are trying to cover up things. If the people being criticized here are disturbed,it is only because of their public and private misdeeds that have hurt or embarrassed the town. As a good citizen in Mullica, I will do my best to spread the word about this site to everyone I know or meet and ask them to do the same. Thanks again!!!

Anonymous said...

Eye on Mullica, I can only think of two reasons why you would support Chasey. One- you are dumber than Kennedy, which I doubt because you can read and write. Two- Chasey has made an effigy of you and surrounded it by an eye of a toad, tail of a newt, many select herbs and a few candles. I would suggest that you go to Egg Harbor City and find a priestess immediately to remove this mental influence over you before you start running around town doing bad things at her request.

What is the drawback of rezoning Elwood? That area could use some improvements.

Maybe if a few occur, some and my Republican buddies and I may buy and fix up a few houses so we can rent them out to the Section 8 Democrats who need housing over there. ;-)
