Subject: Three month ticket numbers: Larry I was looking at your posting for the first three months of this year and how the numbers compare with the same three months last year and see that O'Hara and Carricarte each wrote about 15 less tickets for the three months and Creamer wrote 50 less tickets. I don't even know who these officers are but wonder about the drop off in performance here. I see that Zeck who is now a Detective is down 60 tickets from last year but as a detective he has a different priority. The two SP cops I guess are the Special Part timers. What is the deal with Ptl. Serzan who seems to be the biggest gold brick of all? Also I wanted to suggest that you mention and commend publicly as you attend town meetings who the Officers are who are doing an outstanding job each month, Sgt Aquino and Ptl Fryling.

RESPONSE: Your suggestion about mentioning at Town Meetings the cops who are doing a good job is one I will try to honor. The poor performance of some of our other boys in blue compared to last year is hard to explain...except as you point out where work assignments have changed -- Zeck replacing Gavin as a Detective. Frylings minimal hours last year as a new hire are reflective of many less hours worked last year and should be viewed in that perspective. The noticeable difference in the number of tickets written by the Wild and Gavin compared to Aquino raises questions as to their dedication to our community as one might assume they have the same responsibilities as Aquino.
