Subject: Mullica School Board: It is wonderful to see all the enthusiasm that the school board election has raised. Nevertheless, the election is over and now the tasked are at hand. We will find out over the next year if Mullica has made the right choices. I hope that the enthusiasm that was created by the election continues, or will it be a passing thought. It is clear that the Current Board has many issues to consider. Just to list a few: * First, to continue the HIGH STANDARDS that has been achieved in the district and continues to build on them. * Find the Money to accomplish the above. * Prepare for a Full time Pre K program. * Find the Money to accomplished the above * To work out a long lasting shared services agreement with Washington Twp. * To explore other Share services agreements with other communities. (Port Republic and EHC) * Prepare for Contract negoations with the MTEA. * Find the Money to accomplished the above * Give consideration to the Regional School District Plan (Whatever that plan might be). + Demand better performance from our Regional High School -- Good Luck to all

RESPONSE: Unfortunately, the recent tie for one seat on the School Board seems to hang over the District as a distraction. Hopefully, for the good of the community...Ms. Hunt and Mr. Carl would find a way to resolve this matter amicably and without putting the community through the disrupting influence and cost of a Special Election. The proposal to flip a coin would seem to be the adult thing to do here. That remains an option that hopefully will be given serious consideration by all.
