Subject: BOE election: Hey larry, just want to know if mr goldberg called Mary Hunt and gave her the same options, flip a coin, concede to Mr Carl, cut a deck of cards.....Or did he just call Mr. Carl....seems to me if he didn't call Ms. Hunt than it is a form of intimidation...... You however wont see it that way because you like to put your own spin on things.....Its ok for the Dems to run the committee and the BOE but not reverse... and dont say the BOE is not political because I believe since Ms. Para left that is all this board is with Mary Hunt running it and her husband on Committee. I would like my vote to count and if that means having another election then so be it..... No matter who wins and least the choice of the people will be on the BOE.

RESPONSE In your apparent desperation to sound reasonable...it seems to me, you keep misrepresenting what has occurred here...both at the Board meeting ... and what most likely occurred in private phone calls or conversations. tom THE PUGNACIOUS carl for some irrational reason taped those phone conversations ... so let us all hear them played in public ... and the obvious TRUTH and misrepresentations of what was said will be out there for all to know. It won't be your 'spin' or my 'spin' ... but I suspect your side is afraid of the TRUTH and would prefer to 'spin' $7,000 of taxpayer's money away.

Your concerns (spin) regarding the position of the Board under Ms. Para are also a misstatement of the reality. If the issue you wish to focus on is; a build more houses pro-development perspective versus a keep Mullica rural one... Ms. Para spoke out a number of times regarding the negative effect that building new houses was having on school costs...and that this building of more homes was not in the larger interests of our community...but of course while she might have been a Republican...she was not in the real estate business nor a developer.

The representations by the School administration at the Board meeting...was that a tie had been resolved in the past with a flip of a coin by the two candidates as a private decision... with the loser of the coin flip pulling out of the election. The chronology of the present events represented (as I understood it) was that Ms. Hunt had called Carl to suggest a coin flip and had received no definitive answer from him. Subsequently, the School Superintendent called Carl to see how he felt about the offer from Hunt to flip a coin.

You and your Republican friends tell the public that THE PUGNACIOUS carl, felt 'intimidated' by this call from Superintendent Goldberg. HUH? This you posit as an explanation for the irrational outburst of Carl at the Board meeting. HUH? Play the damn tape in public and resolve this matter...if you dare. My guess is... like so many other things that define the Mullica Republican Party...you only operate comfortably in the back room and fear public disclosure because it will expose your lies and misrepresentations...and more importantly your links to pro-development real estate profit motivated speculators...but then of course this is the norm for many Republicans...personal GREED...at the expense of the greater community!!
