MULLICA TWP PRIMARY 2006-07 SCHOOL REPORT CARD --3RD GRADE (READING) LANGUAGE ARTS LITERACY: (NJASK3) ... BENCHMARK 75% PASSING
GadFly will be posting the test scores for Reading, Math and Science as broken down into various catagores as per the No Child Left Behind Law. Note the low State standard here...that 25% of 3rd graders can fail and the school is judged to be doing an acceptable job. HUH? The scores that should be especially troubling regarding Mullica's Primary School show Economically Disadvantaged and Hispanic students failing at way too high a rate. The failure rate of Special Education students involve students who have learning disabilities and thus fall into a differnt pardigm. The notion that Mullica teachers, school administrators or the Mullica School Board should be proud of these numbers is ridiculous. To self congratulate themsleves as a 'gem' in terms of these numbers is an attempt to make a pig's ear into a sow's purse. More importantly, it fails to acknoeledge the improvements that need to be made. These are not good numbers and are nothing to be proud of....
