MULLICA SCHOOL BOARD RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING

The regularly scheduled Mullica School Board Re-Organization Meeting scheduled for Monday, April 21st was a bit more interesting than one might have thought. The two newly elected Board members were sworn in; Terence Watson



and Frank Kelly.



...and then the audience interest was focused on who would be nominated as President of the Board. It was explained that there could be nominations, or the Board could choose to wait until after the issues regarding the tie for the last contested Board seat was resolved ... and then choose the Board President. At first it seemed like there would be no nominations...a lengthy pause...and then frank THE NEANDERTHAL kelly nominated Joy Wyld...but there was no second to this nomination.

A Motion from Board member Mia Jones to table the nomination for Board President was put forward and all but THE NEANDERTHAL kelly voted 'YES'. The nomination for Board Vice President was posited for Joy Wyld by THE NEANDERTHAL kelly ... who indicated she did not wish the nomination. Then Spiros Malispina was nominated as Board Vice President and he was voted into that position.

The meeting then continued with various perfunctory nominations that were more or less the appointments of those who had served the previous Board in various positions. The Board than adjourned and after a short recess the new Board opened its regularly scheduled meeting with Dr. Malispino very effectively presiding.
