MULLICA HONORS 12 YEAR-OLD, LOGAN WALSH

At the April 22nd, Mullica Town Meeting, Logan Walsh was honored for his charity work over the last 8 years. 'For the eighth year, 12-year-old Logan Walsh...of Mullica Township, bought blankets, sweatsuits and an assortment of hats and gloves to be distributed by Covenant House in Atlantic City. Walsh is a seventh-grader at the Pilgrim Academy in Galloway Township. He announces his blanket drive to neighbors, friends and relatives around Thanksgiving and solicits $10 donations, which he uses for his charitable endeavor.' A proclamation of acknowledgment of good citizenship from the Board of Atlantic County Freeholders was presented by Freeholder Frank Giordano to Logan at the Mullica Town Meeting...

...and also acknowledgment to Logan for his works on behalf of the less fortunate was presented by Mayor Kennedy and pictured with a blanket for Logan's winter blanket drive was Deputy Mayor Mike St Amour.

Logan recently received an invitation from the Junior Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference. They have selected him to be a guest in Washington and witness the President and VP being sworn into office on January 20, 2009. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for him to be part of such a historical event. This will be an unbelievable experience for him and will give him a deeper understanding of the inaugural process and our nation's democratic principles, not to mention he would have a great time!
