Subject: XENA - Warrior Princess: Dear Xena Warrior Princess, are you some sort of super-heroine? Your use of logic and powers of perception are not the norm in Mullica. I have become accustomed to the MullicaBitches and Bastards who got lost in a library on their way to a lunch outing at Birch Grove Park and started pushing on buttons to find their way to Gadfly. What a refreshing post you have made. I must admit, you used your own super-powers to convince me that my position needed some reconsideration. If Larry was as nice as you, perhaps I would reconsider more points of view as mentioned by NPR/PBS (closeted Fox News lover). Well, its been two minutes, and unfortunately I still hold to my position on this ordinance. Trust me, Mullicaman understands the issue. I have spoken to one of our finest in blue about this and was on-hand for a couple of committee meetings in which it was discussed. Let me try to state my reasons again and let me try to shed some additional light on this topic. First of all, Mullicaman, being a super-hero, knows that there is a big difference between a rifle and a shotgun. Bullets from a rifle can travel up to a mile. Mullicaman knows for a fact that it is ILLEGAL to hunt in NJ with a rifle. Mullicaman also believes that you are not currently allowed to fire a rifle of any kind unless you are shooting at an approved firing range. Shotguns are really what we are talking about here. The pellets of a shotgun don't travel further than 300 feet. We all need to realize too that the current law that does NOT address target practicing on ones property has to do with shotguns. Folks in these parts have been sighting their shotguns for generations....shooting clay pigeons and the like on their own property. Nobody has ever been shot or injured in all these years....as far as Mullicaman can determine. Wh y is that you ask? One, the overwhelming majority of gun owners are very responsible, knowing the limitations of their guns and backdrops, and two, unneighborly neighbors know not to get within 300 feet of their neighbors when they have a gun. BANG!!!! The real effect of this proposed ordinance, (that will never be adopted), would have been to, in many instances, eliminated an individuals right to sight their shotguns and target practice on their property who otherwise have operated in many cases for years and generations without any complaints, damage or harm to anyone. Xena, warrior princess, this is where you go "Fox News" on me, "It's always the "stray" bullet that kills some small child." I watch the news too. Please tell me the last time that a Mullica residents "stray bullet" killed a child? The stray bullets to which you refer are ones coming from young gang members in inner cities who ha ve no respect for life or property. I can guarantee you one thing.....those young gang members did not take hunter safety training....like all of the young girls and boys in Mullica who surely will continue the gun/hunting legacy of their parents. Xena, if you have not already discovered yet in your life, being that I assume you are perhaps a young warrior princess, everyone is a hypocrite in varying degrees. However, I have always been and will forever remain a big bag of wind. However, I am hoping that I have shed some facts as NPR/PBS demanded regarding this gun control ordinance. Larry - Mullicaman does not need his maturity tested. One need only ask Mullicawoman to ascertain the low levels of maturity that reside in Mullicaman. P.S. Xena - there is only one course of action at this point - blame the Republicans on committee. Up, Up and Away!!!!!!!!! ;P.S.S. Larry - do we have an impostor? Someone signed "Your Stimulating Superhero"....but it wasn't me.
RESPONSE: I suspect Xena may ... or may not understand the effect that those too tight spandex pants can have on some men ... Mullicaman seems to need a little more play in his outfit, me thinks.
