RESPONSE: I took your advise and pictured below are the trees canopying a section of Jackson Road. You can note the electrical lines along the road...that run the entire road on one side or the other. Why Mullica offica DUMB hasn't raised hell with the elctric company and had the trees trimmed back bespeaks the kind of non existent leadership we have in this community. Instead, we get a proposal to spend around $20,000 of scarce Mullica tax dollars to hire a private firm to cut back the trees...when the electic company will do most of it at no cost to Mullica. I had been told by the way that the power lines did not run the road. The suggestion by Mullica's Road Supervisor, Pete Bernado, that this is the appropriate way to go, makes one wonder about the man's competence. (Note how close the tree line is to the power lines.)

Subject: Jackson Road: Larry, You missed some real concerns in your missle about Jackson Road. There are many trees along Jackson Road that are in bad shape and appear ready to fall. Some are being held up by utility cables. The bridge is sinking and should be repaired by Atlantic County. You suggested closing the road. I bet the couple that just spent $750,000 for a home on Jackson Road would take issue with you as would all of us that use it daily. The County cannot maintain Nesco Road in the area needed to avoid Jackson. Take a ride or better yet, walk the area and see for yourself. Sweetwater Resident
