MULLICA SCHOOL DISTRICT TO OFFER FULL DAY PRE-K

With a new State mandate that all children in the State attend a full day of pre-K educational schooling...Mullica's School District ... which now provides a half day pre-K program -- will in the next two years (hopefully, starting sooner) be offering full day pre-K schooling. This is a good thing ... as test results have repeatedly shown that the head start from pre-K programs benefit all kids and especially those from a less affluent family. Also, going to full day pre-K will make Mullica an even more attractive community to families with young children -- as half day pre-K often strains logistics when both parents work, or in single parent families. This is a very positive development and once again comes as a mandate with Democrats in control of the State as an embrace of the principles of our Founding Fathers that equality of opportunity is the bed rock of American Democracy and education is the path.
