Subject: re: ambulance report: Okay Larry where is the minority report that was a part of the Rescue Squad document you posted which as I understand it was prepared by Gary Franklin? How is it that you present only one side? I do not know what is best here but you have an obligation to your readers to present the other side so that we may judge what is the best course of action to take in providing ambulance service to all. Thanks for posting T

RESPONSE: I posted everything that was sent to me anonymously in the mail and would be more than happy to post Mr. Franklyn’s views here. If someone has that section of the report and would make it available it will get posted. Conveniently, Mr. Franklyn and his supporters have not disputed any points made to date in this open forum. It should be noted that according to those involved in the preparation of the report, the only document (memo) that Franklyn submitted was before the report was prepared...nothing disputing the facts of the report was submitted by Mr. Franklyn after the report was prepared.

I do wish to correct the incorrect reference I made that the Mullica Boarding homes should be billed for using the Mullica ambulance service as a bus service and a way should be found to bill them for this exploitation. I have been informed that it would be illegal to single out one type of business for billing even one like this who exploits the ambulance system. I also want to note that the ‘Law’ requires that when a squad is a volunteer squad it only must have one EMT on the ambulance, but when the Rescue Squad is a paid one, it must have two EMTs on an ambulance response. That would seem to indicate not just better response time but better medical care in an emergency for Mullica residents.

The irresponsible reality that the Report was presented to THE CORRUPT MULLICA 5 AKA IDIOTS R US in August and has never been publicly discussed is hard to understand except in a political context. Why the two (one Democrat and one Republican) who are on Committee and members of the 3 person sub-committee that prepared the report have failed to request that it be made public via a motion at the Town meeting is simply inexplicable. A motion by Kennedy or Turygan, with a second by the other would force a vote to open up discussion, or continue to hide from the pubic the conclusions of the report. DUH!! A lot of effort went into the report and it seems clear that members who control the Mullica Republican Organization are willing once again to place lives at risk for political gain like their national counterparts and that is another Republican betrayal of the people...only this time it is again local Republicans. 'Let 'em die' seems to be the national and local Republican mantra!!
