Subject: Iraq lies: Larry, it is tragic to have armed forces on duty even one more day in Iraq, merely hoping to survive if they can. Let's face reality, our soldiers are assigned to enforce martial law on a hostile population and to protect a repressive, propped up puppet government. Does this sound familiar? There never will be an end to the violence in Iraq until we finally give the country back to the people we stole it from. The concept of training Iraqis to defend their country against themselves is just another illusion in the endless series of official lies that have been concocted to justify this war. RESPONSE: The newest lie is that the people of Iraq are voting because they want “Democracy.” What is going to be elected in Iraq are religious clerics who will end up turning the country into a theocracy much like Iran. Has anyone who buys the latest Bush lie read about what is elected through the democratic process of elections in Iran. It is an extreme religious nut case who sees America as the “Great Satan.” Limited elections in Egypt saw massive gains by the extreme religious hate parties. The vote today in Iraq has nothing to do with Democracy it is about having one religious group oust another religious group from power. To play this as in some way representing “Democracy” is the newest lie that will probably be effective among some Republicans who can’t see the forest for the trees.
