Subject: Why not write more tickets: While I don’t always agree with you I think sometime you point to problems that the community would not otherwise be aware of. The low number of traffic citations written by our Police force is one that should be easily fixed. Yesterday in the all day down pour I happened to be waiting for my wife who was running an errand and had a view of the traffic flow on the White Horse Pike. The law requires in the rain that head lights be on for greater safety. In the 15 minutes that I sat in the car I counted 20 cars without their lights on. This was just going east. The writing of tickets not only to make the highway safer for all but also it produces fines that are revenue for us so why not be more aggressive in ticket writing is my question. I often see people driving with cell phones that is another unsafe and ticket generating opportunity for us. Why have those in charge done so little to address our safety and in so doing keep our taxes down. Keep up the good work here Larry, Thanks.

RESPONSE: The low ticket writing numbers, which often are, at best, one ticket an 8 hour shift are impossible to justify. The Mullica cop overtime of over $80,000 last year should outrage every Mullica taxpayer and is but another thumb in the eye of contempt that the Mullica Police Department has for Mullica citizens.

The elected official in charge of Mullica’s Police who just doesn’t have his belt through all the loops is in fairness, probably too busy making all those personal phone calls on his taxpayer provided cell phone to address the problem; that of course would be bruce THE PHONY PHONE CELLULAR CROOK TOE SUCKER crow!! I’m trying to be kinder so perhaps it should be pointed out that during evolution his ancestors were in the control group.
