What the hell happened ?

RESPONSE: What happened is you bought a buch of Republican propaganda that is filled with simplistic lies that Republicans depend on to con the DUMB and GULLIBLE. Lets see, 100 years ago would have been 1905, when a man could rape his wife with impunity because the Courts viewed women as property and of course they couldn’t vote. Blacks knew their place and if they didn’t they were lynched. No child labor laws (that awful big government hadn’t stuck its nose in the exploitation of children who worked in city slums 6 days a week and 10 hours a day...those good old sweat shops were where woman worked because big government hadn’t stuck its nose in the exploitation of women, children, and labor in general. Yes, those wonderful Robber Barons paid no taxes and the middle class was an illusion...but there were no taxes and of course working people died some 20 years younger than today while the rich partied and lived large...but that was before big government stuck its nose into the many abuses of workers by the rich. Hey, rent the movie Gangs of New York or Angela's Ashes to see how pleasant and leisurely the middle class had it back when the government just let the rich keep their wealth untaxed and exploit workers to death.

If you want to debate the merit of a specific tax don’t shovel manure, false information, propaganda...like the Swift Boat manipulation of the truth like as though it came from the Bible or Rush Limbaugh. Your Republican liars have cut taxes for the wealthy both at a State level and Federally and the debt and property tax fall out has meant that the rich have gotten much, much richer and the poor and middle class are worse off.

Taxes pay for government services...is there waste and abuse...sure, and Republicans who control things now have cut what exactly in the last 4 years...and what ever happen to the "Contract with America." Oh, there is a new marketing scheme, the Bernie Ebbers, Ken Lay, Kowalski supporters of ripping off the country should live large and have their taxes cut and the middle class should pay and pay and pay but be conned by the rhetoric of taxes are bad but debt is good. Taxes are not the problem, the problem is fiscal irresponsibility and growing Republican debt. As Homer said, ONCE HARM HAS BEEN DONE, EVEN A FOOL UNDERSTANDS IT. How much more harm are we gong to let these Republicans do to our country?
