Subject: Smoking Ban: Larry I support the proposed ban on smoking in private businesses in New Jersey. Other states and cities have the same ban, and you don't hear that every bar and restaurant has gone out of business. If New York City can do it, any city can. Government already tells us how to run a business, so this should be acceptable as well. The only reason smoking isn't illegal is because the government taxes it. The tobacco industry is probably one of the biggest campaign contributors and the government won't mess with it. I don't care where you go, the nonsmoking side of a bar still has smoke in it. The poor employees who have to deal with it are really putting themselves at risk. If you want to smoke, do it outside. It is crazy for me to have to come home from a night of watching Monday Night Football with my friends and need to take a shower an burn the clothes I was wearing because they stink. John
