Subject : PINECONE ZONE: Larry today I took my 3 year old to the pine cone zone myself and three other mothers were disgusted with what we found… on one of the benches there was 1 used and 1 unused condom !!! I had to run back to my truck and get rubber gloves from my EMS bag and dispose of them while the other mothers kept the kids away from them.. but what I found on the other side of the playground made me think of the back streets of Atlantic city .. There was a hypodermic syringe lying in the chips with no cap A OPEN DIRTY NEEDLE IN A KIDS PLAYGROUND.. It’s a good thing I had my ems stuff with a sharps container to dispose of the syringe.. The playground used to be a nice place but it has turned out to be a dump... All over the place there is graffiti and on the side of one of the plastic slides there is a swastika carved in it .. There is a lot of broken equipment in need of repair.. Who has the responsibility of the up keep on this place the rec or the twp??? There need to be some change in the playground or a child is going to be seriously hurt or killed. A child was climbing up the chain ladder and one just snapped and dumped him to the ground... Some of the fence pickets have been kicked out by kids and the screws are sticking out waiting to rip open a kid’s face... F.J.
