Subject: Keep ‘em in the Dark: Larry, on the PBS program “Now with Bill Moyers,” former UPI reporter Helen Thomas told of being banished to the back row at White House news conferences and ignored by Bush after she questioned him about the separation of church and state. This should surprise no one. This administration is not rebelling against a tyrannical press. Quite the contrary. Like any group of power hungry despots, it knows that an informed, participating, critically thinking voting public threatens its power. It fears an aggressive, adversarial press as much as it fears a thinking public. That is its real motivation for waging open warfare on the press. Patty C

RESPONSE: Just another example of the Fascist actions of this administration. Manipulate the public with lies and acts of intimidation against anyone who dares question or speaks against and exposes the lies. And the American public...at least 50% of them continue like good little Germans did during the Holocaust to be silent...horrors, defended in the name of patriotism and scape-goating. Media manipulation worked so well for the Nazis and it seems to be working well for this group of Fascist Republicans in the White House.
