Subject: Immoral budget: Larry, I am stunned at the budget that the White House presented. The deceit of this administration astounds me. They propose more tax cuts for the super-rich while they saddle the states and the middle class with crushing debt and nonexistent services. It is nothing short of class warfare. We need a budget that prepares our nation for the economy of the future. Republican policies have added trillions to the debt. The Bush budget doesn’t count the future costs of the war in Iraq, the trillions his Social Security plan might cost, or the full cost of his tax cuts. When this Bush budget gets placed in the Library of Congress, it ought o be filed under fiction. America does have a moral compass; Washington Republicans are just reading it upside down. Joe
