Subject: Bowing to donors: Larry, for the Bush administration apologists I submit that what will make us better housekeepers of our planet is knowing when the demands of the industrial lobby on a malleable president are simply too high to bear. There is more at play here than self serving ignorance at the highest levels of government as the culprit. When an administration takes power and quickly dismantles EPA lawsuits by the hundreds against major polluters like coal fired power plants, then changes the foundation of environmental policy to massively de-emphasize government oversight in regard to air quality, you must ask exactly what “economic, political or social agenda” is at play, if not an attempt to pacify major campaign contributors. Larry, the rest of the world seems to think that the 10 years of collective research that generated the Kyoto treaty is sound science, not “fear mongering.” What’s wrong with us? Kurt J
