THE RATABLE FALLACY IN MULLICA
The reality of the ratable fallacy should have come home to most Mullica residents; at the last Township meeting it was announced that last year there had been new ratables worth $4.6 million and that amount would only net the governing body $43,800 in new revenue. Yet, there are those who still don’t get it regarding what is needed to bring down local property taxes...THERE NEEDS TO BE CUTS IN EXPENDITURES.
Over and over again the GadFly site has called for an abolishment of the Mullica Ambulance Squad. It was reported in the March 23rd Press that yet another area community was abandoning its volunteer Rescue Squad and going to a paid service. That move was expected to save Somers Point $180,000. Yet here in Mullica, under the mismanagement of gary THE MUKTAR franklyn (Whose about as useful as a mint-flavored suppository), Mullica’s Rescue Squad’s undermanned volunteers continues to get taxpayer funding. THE CORRUPT MULLICA 5 AKA IDIOTS R US continue to spend scarce tax dollars for a company that can’t run 24 hours a day and has to pay Hammonton in order to cover during daylight hours. Obviously, mold is a higher life form than those in charge in Mullica.
All curb side chipping should be abandoned...this is a rural community...and it was a Republican B/A that ended this service several years ago as a fiscally wise decison and irresponsible Democrats who brought it back for politcal reasons. Four fire companies should be cut to two...this would half the number of expensive fire vehicles that we don't need, yet purchase for the ego and parades of selfish volunteer fire personel....this year $300,000 will be spent to buy the Weekstown Fire Co. an unnecessary and not needed pumper, but it will be purchased for political reasons and not fire fighting needs. The Mullica Police Department could be cut by 3 cops...instead we have a mismanaged department that runs up over $80,000 in overtime...because it has 4 of 14 cops who are desk guys and don't do patrol...notice the high amount of crime reported here and in the Press. Township employees who only work a 35 hour week and get paid as though it were a 40 hour week ....they must think their French...oh, that’s right, France just gave up its 35 hour week and went to a 40 hour work week. Gold plated health benefit package for Township employees need to be drastically cut back as the private sector has done. We spend close to $15,000 per employee over and above an overly generous salary for a platinum plated health care plan. I love my town...but think we should start seeing other people.....in charge.
