MULLICA TICKET CLARIFICATION

Several members of the Mullica Police Department have indicated their concern that the postings here regarding ticket numbers are confusing. That is because there are two representations of ticket numbers; one from the Court and one from the Mullica Police Department. The Court ticket count includes tickets written by the State Police, Code Enforcement Office and even Fish and Game Complaints combined with the traffic tickets written by Mullica cops. It is also represented that the Mullica Court income can be misinterpreted, as a large criminal fine such as the recent $15,000 paid for contempt of Court by Waszen can give a false picture in terms of ticket income for the Township.

Indeed, a recent posting stated: "The Mullica police claim in 2004 they wrote more tickets, 1,548 compared with that below 850 ticket number for 2003 and 1,287 tickets for 2002. Once again the Mullica Court shows total tickets for 2002 at 1,705 and that number decreasing for 2004 to 1,658." Thus the Court numbers which decreased last year are not representative directly of the number of tickets being written in Mullica by the Mullica Police Department.

The Mullica Police offer no explanation for their failure to write tickets in 2003 when it has been repeatedly represented here that the failure was a direct result of their ire that Mullica elected officials had hired a labor counsel to bargain over the police contract. Not doing their job in 2003 reflects on the character of the Mullica Police and the continued low number of tickets per month should remain a concern both in terms of safety and yes, lost revenue for the Court system which helps to keep property taxes in line. The bloated administration and overtime are also inexcusable and reflect on the poor leadership of the Department.

The Mullica Committee person who has been in charge during this dereliction of responsibility is none other than bruce THE PHONY PHONE CELLULAR TOE SUCKER crow, who is either too dumb to see the problem or just too busy on his Township paid for cell phone with all those personal call to his girl friend or bookie or..... One has to reevaluate one's opinion now. He used to be obnoxious and arrogant. He now is just the opposite. Arrogant and obnoxious; this with his theft from the taxpayers of Mullica of phone service at the taxpayer's expense.
