IMPACT FEES IN MULLICA FOR RECREATION

A clarification of the information posted here once again is necessary. It is Egg Harbor Twp. who has a “Contribution in Lieu of Facilities” fee (impact fee) of $5,000 that goes to the Township Rec. Association for each new home built in the Township and that fee went into effect this year. Previously the fee was around $1,300 per new home. The raising of the fee to the $5,000 amount has prompted a lawsuit by the South Jersey Builder’s Association. EHT which has portions of its town in both CAFRA and the Pinelands had the Ordinance that increased the fee approved by Pinelands and expects to bring the Pinelands into this litigation.

EHT had a study done by their Township Planner, Remington and Vernick to support the new higher fee. It should be noted that the builder has the option if he feels that he would rather build extra homes in their growth area rather than dedicate land for recreation of paying the fee.

The fee in Hamilton Twp is $2,500 per new home for extant recreation in their Township. And as noted by a contributor here the fee in Galloway is $1,400. Given these facts the representation here that Mullica's fee of a lowly $75 should be raised to $1,000 seems a wise and fair adjustment. Were we to go to $5,000 that might embroil us in the pending litigation, but by staying below the fees in other communities that have not prompted a lawsuit by builders we should be litigation safe.

Most importantly this money would go directly to Mullica's excellent Recreation programs. Seventy Five dollars is an insult to the property tax payers of Mullica and once again speaks to the general incompetence of the apt named all Republican poorly run government of Mullica...THE CORRUPT MULLICA 5 AKA IDIOTS R US!

Whether you decide they are "IDIOTS" or just another example of "CORRUPT" Republicanism that has sold out the working family people of America, is your choice...either way, we are paying unecessarily high property taxes as a result of this corruption or idiocy. Perhaps in Mullica we have a higher number of idiots than the rest of the country that seems to be split about fifty/fifty between those supporting corrupt Republicans and those opposing them. As Walter Kerr said: HALF THE WORLD IS COMPOSED OF IDIOTS, THE OTHER HALF OF PEOPLE CLEVER ENOUGH TO TAKE INDECENT ADVANTAGE OF THEM.

Maybe Mullica, it's past time to wake up and realize your being taken advantage of by continuing to return these Republican crooks to office.
