Ms Hanselmann deserves credit for having this event and she was there making sure folks were doing ok with the vendors and food trucks. That said I was saddened and shocked as I saw the site of the Pine Cone zone and the removal of all the play stations that had been there. Many of us volunteered under the supervision of Sandy Santora who made this project a big community event and the showpiece of Mullica in the 90s. I cant help wonder what happened to lead to the demolition of such a wonderful place. I saw that there is some new stations being begun by Chrissys volunteers . I also was surprised that there wasnt soccer matches and softball games going on during this event that had been done in the summer event alomg with more organizations being there to acquaint the public with their organization or business. I did see some politicans, the police and the fire companies there .I hope she keeps trying and has the event again with more folks to help and paarticipate. Very sad about the old Pine Cone zone.

Mullica Township is a Pine Barren community without a town newspaper or news letter, no televised or internet committee meetings and no press reporters at the meetings.
The Gadfly tries to fill the void by alerting the residents of meetings, events and articles of local interest from various sources. Most importantly, it gives a voice to the people. All residents are invited to share their opinions with anonymity or signed under each article posted.
Everyone is invited to send in articles of interest, announcements, letters of your concerns or opinions and even tips about what's going on in your neighborhood that needs investigation.
Tell the Gadfly what you want to see posted or what was missed.
