Many people are boycotting sweetwater riverdeck. 😮👏
They posted an apology on their page about the vests/colors, but not the managers words said to some of the veterans and volunteer firefighters that were helping with the event tables.
Just an update from Waretown FD Poker in the Pines Poker Run 2019.
In lieu of this weekend’s events, we want to apologize for any misunderstanding we may have caused, and we hope to clear up any confusion regarding our policies here at Sweetwater Marina & Riverdeck. We sincerely apologize if anyone felt offended or singled out this weekend, especially our Veterans. That was certainly not our intent. Motorcyclists are a big part of our community here at Sweetwater. Our policy is and has always been that if a motorcyclist arrives wearing colors, he or she will be asked to remove those colors before entering the property, then all are welcome. We do this not to discriminate against any group or organization, but rather to create and nurture our welcoming, family atmosphere. Again, we sincerely apologize for any hurt feelings we have caused
