Worldwide Immigrants are Being Told to Come to America

They arrived from the Congo, Cameroon, Nigeria and Ethiopia. It is the other caravan that seeks to reach the United States. They flee poverty and civil wars. Not only do men travel. They also do pregnant women and children. Unlike the Central Americans, they arrived without warning and as dropper.
Their journey began in Africa and lasted 3 or even up to 6 months. With great sacrifices, they took a flight to Brazil and then went for Ecuador, where they do not require documents to travel. It's just the beginning. There are still thousands of kilometers left in Central America until they reach Chiapas. Those who get the humanitarian visa, arrive at Piedras Negras, Coahuila, the lobby of Eagle Pass, Texas.
These migrants pay $ 3850 dollars if they make the trip on their own, but if they hire traffickers, the cost rises between $ 7,000 and $ 20,000 dollars. According to civil organizations, the money is obtained with relatives who are already in the United States, and in the worst case, they sell valuables and even their newborn children.
Like the Central Americans, they demand attention from the Mexican immigration authorities, a safe conduct to allow them entry as it happened on April 7, when a group of Africans threw stones and broke the glass of a check point in the Migration Station Siglo XXI in Chiapas .
According to Mexican authorities, nearly 2,000 Africans, Haitians and Cubans remain on the border between Chiapas and Guatemala. To these they have been added migrants of other nationalities like India.

In Piedras Negras the arrival of migrants increased more than 100% and the facilities to receive them and give them attention have been exceeded. Temporary shelters have been opened to serve everyone. African migrants like the Central Americans have little chance of obtaining the benefit of political asylum in the United States, because only 13% of those who demand it, are accepted.
Says the Mayor of Piedras Negras: "It's something that here on the borders, and I mean from Tijuana to Matamoros and logically, Piedras Negras is one of them, never before had I seen a migration that seeks to reach the Mexican border and stay here for a long time to seek a political asylum in the United States of America ".
In Tijuana, hundreds of Haitians who arrived since 2016 have stopped waiting for asylum in the American Union to begin a life in the border city.
