Information Requested in EHC Assault Case


Egg Harbor City Police Department
On Wednesday, October 31st at approximately 6:45 pm one adult male and one juvenile male were assaulted on Philadelphia Avenue. This is an active ongoing investigation involving the Egg Harbor City Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

On Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 at approximately 6:48 pm, officers of the Egg Harbor City police department responded to the area of Philadelphia Avenue and Beethoven Street for a reported call of a man walking down the street bleeding. Upon making contact with the man, identified as 29 year old Daniel Peterson of Egg Harbor City, officers learned that he and his juvenile cousin were assaulted in the area of Philadelphia Avenue and Arago Street by a group of juveniles. Both victims appeared to have suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assault.
Members of the Egg Harbor City Police Department and of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office have been conducting this ongoing investigation. As such, no information regarding potentially evidentiary sources will be revealed at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Egg Harbor City police at 609-965-2901 ext. 4.
