First Frost Warning For Tonight


There is a threat Tuesday night that will end the growing season for many of us as frost spreads across the mainland, thanks to something called radiational cooling. To have radiational cooling, you need a combination of a clear sky, calm winds and low humidity. We will have all three, causing temperatures to plummet.
 Generally, lows across the mainland will be in the mid-30s, firmly in the frost category. However, I believe there will be a decent number of 32s or even lower in the rural spots. Mullica Township, Hamilton Township and Maurice River Township come to mind.
