Televised Meetings No More
Which should come as no surprise to any resident who was interested in watching the televised committee meetings, since on the sidebar here it has stated the Township Committee meetings hadn't been televised for months even though someone still came out and taped a few, they never made it on the air. Apparently, according to a story in the Hammonton News, this is due to a contractual agreement between the Township and Comcast. Comcast filmed the meetings, but then they were aired on a public access channel from Vineland. Those meetings, although scheduled to air, weren't reliably shown and then Channel 2, the Comcast channel for local municipalities were supposed to air them and they never did. Comcast has had layoffs and perhaps that's part of it, but it does make one wonder what the the original contract was between the municipality and Comcast.

"When the franchise renewals came up, all parties agreed that that would not continue."
According to the article, this agreement took place in 2007, when Chasey was Mayor and Forman Deputy Mayor. There was no public announcement. I'm curious to know if Kennedy, Turigan or Kerhli even knew of this change.
If the township lost the televised airings then the big questions are what exactly did they get for the current contract to allow Comcast to continue its business in this town? Who on committee did the negotiations?
Now I'm curious to know if we would still have the airings if Chasey and Forman had wanted them.
This falls right into their pattern of trying to stop literature at the dump and home delivery of fliers.
They are making every attempt to keep the public ignorant of their escapades.
This little article has openned up alot of questions.
Give me a break why is it when something happens in this town the same people on this site want to blame chasey, forman or someone else for it....
Please note that Comcast will no longer be filming/televising the committee meetings. DUE TO ECONOMIC REASONS, Comcast has laid off employees and their own station CN8 will no longer be on the air starting January.
The original contract was finalized in 2/2007-finalized by whom and what was the contact? Chasey was mayor then and Forman was deputy mayor.
What were the franchise renewals and who decided not to do it? It certainly never came up at a town meeting.
Only in the last two months was the announcement about economic reasons brought up-what about prior to that when they weren't being shown?
What is or was the contract and is Comcast airing is other towns?
To the 4:11 poster, it's probably because the stench of Forman and Chasey are on everything hidden and wrong with Mullica Government and it's not just the people on this site who think it.
To the 4:11 poster,
It says in the article that "the Township agreed to the discontinuing of the taping".
The contract was finalized in Feb.,2007.
Chasey was Mayor and Forman was Deputy Mayor and they knew almost TWO years ago that the taping was going to stop and never mentioned it and didn't try to find a replacement. That was deliberate deception on their part.
I'm sure that they prefer not letting the community see what's going on.
If they would stop lying and be straight with the community, maybe we wouldn't have to blame them for anything. But that would be impossible for them because they really enjoy back room deals and the thrill of being sneaky.
This whole thing needs to be investigated!
When my good friend BILL KENNEDY finds out about this he will kick their butts. Maybe you to. We'll see at the next meeting you tweekers.

Will somebody PLEASE take our prissy girl HARRY HURLEY and his twin sister to Mullica to live forever? They are a couple of fine mannered girls who love a cat fight. Meow!
