CEDAR CREEK HIGH PIRATES
According to an article in today's Press of Atlantic City, our new high school is expected to be open in September 2010 and has a name and mascot: Cedar Creek High Pirates. The colors chosen are maroon, forest green and cream. Click here to read full article in the Press.

I really like the name. It fits in with the area. The colors blend in,too. It's going to be fun watching our first football game with the Pirates playing. Good Luck to everyone involved in the planning and construction of this great new school.
I don't think that there is a body of water in the area of the sending districts called Cedar Creek, but I guess there wasn't a Crest named Oak either.
I'm not a fan of the name. I know we have a lot of cedar water around here, the Egg Harbor Lake is an example, but the name just doesn't seem to roll off my tongue correctly or sound right for this area.
The color choices are terrific and I like the mascot, but the name...doesn't work for me.
